Has anybody actually looked at the rosters of these teams? The current lakers squad got swept because their roster today is horrible. They have players starting that were in the d league very recently. I'm not saying Pau is the greatest or anything. Taking him over Dirk is crazy. But I'd definitely take him over Yao... For a career, for a season, etc. Yao's squad that beat the blazers wasn't horrible. AB was great that year, Artest had his dominant moments, Landry was solid solid, Shane was a lock down defender. And we're only talking one series win anyway.
So Gasol is again blamed for the lakers' failures???? They suck all season long and yes that included games Kobe played in. The entire team sucks this season. Kobe sucks. Gasol sucks. Dwight sucks. Nash sucks. MWP sucks and the list go on.... By the way Kobe is 0-2 in playoffs series without a solid big men.
Dirk is a 1st ballot hofer, yao will make it eventually. Pau might make it since he was the Robin to kobe. Individual skill wise, he's a level or 2 below yao
Pau is the greatest Spanish player ever, there is zero chance he doesn't make it in. And only Rockets homers would take Yao over Pau - maybe healthy Yao> healthy Pau, but heck, you can argue that healthy Bill Walton is the GOAT.
Skill wise how is he anywhere near 2 levels below Yao? Probably not even a level below yao in terms of skill.
