Having a declining superstar on your team is cancerous, they still want to play like they are in their prime, it is rare when they are willing to take on a lessor role, ala David Robinson to Duncan etc.

I would rather have Bynum than Kobe at this point.

You also said Kobe was done after Game 3 in Orlando. He went on to win the championship that year and the year after. Just saying.

The dude is obsessed with basketball he has a family and does a couple of marketing things for Nike other than that its basketball basketball basketball. When you have someone that dedicated it to it he'll be effective for a while. He knows his body better than any one else to make sure he's in fit shape for a grueling 100 game season. Can be a top 3 player? Unreasonable at this point but he can pace himself for the regular season and turn it up in the playoffs where his legs are saved ala Tim Duncan from 2005 to 2007

    Greatone,

I am not saying he is done, just that if he is in decline but doesn't admit it, and attempts to play like he has in the past, it will ultimately lead to failure.

Kobe is still a great player, but ego is always the thing that hurts the most as players decline, and Kobe's is massive.

Soft here and soft guy there. Without the soft guy, the so called superstar couldn't lead his team into playoffs once and past 1st round playoffs twice!

Let Kobe finally have his broken finger that's held together by gauze repaired along with other ailments he's been playing with the course these seasons. He will be right back.
