Yes it is early but he’s shown glimpses. He had a positive +/- going into tonight’s game despite the team losing every game he’s played (all without Wood). He can shoot, rebound, pass (a little) and protect the rim.

Sign him to a Hinkie special.

what do you think his ceiling is?

Only way to find out is if we let him play with our Wood.
Even as a backup he still seems like someone worth keeping. Not to build around but a role player to build with.

His ceiling is CFs saying he's the missing piece when his shot is falling... His floor is CFs wanting him gone when his shot isn't...

Good rotational piece off the bench. Keep.

i think his likely outcome is like an Ivica Zubac type role in terms of occasional (solid) starter longterm. Seems like they want wood to be a center long term. He needs to get stronger. You can play them together until then.

We're going to throw him into a trade, don't get attached.

I like him as some size off the bench. He has some skill, I think he’s a good fit and would like to see him get some more minutes.

Only keepers from this squad in four years are Christian, Mason, Jae’sean, Kenyon and Kevin.

nah. crazy to say but he's too old.

there's a 50/50 chance at best that we don't get our pick this year. so our rebuild starts with a top pick in 2022 and 2023. chances crewe end up with a top 5 pick in both drafts. odds of those picks producing an all star are also about 50/50 so out of those two drafts, its likely we only get 1 piece worth building around. and whoever he is will be 18 or 19 years old in 2023. by then Patton will be 26, wood will be 29. and our young star will begin his peak for 3-4 years. so by then wood will be retired. Patton will likely be out of the league. even if we took the Sixers package, Simmons would be 30.

there is no one in the league right now that fits our timeline, and the nets picks won't be good before 2023 either so there is no rushing this rebuild. it STARTS in the 23-24 season.

Yes I like him. Centers with length and shooting are rare commodities.

How will you know what you have unless you play them?

I really hope Silas understands whats going on. Stone needs to start shipping out these vets if only to open up the slots necessary to assess what you have with the youth movement. Find vets who fit with the new nucleus later.

seems like Isaiah Hartenstein will a little more passing, shooting and rim protection. If he’s a backup big, I think he becomes a top-end one.

Patton would be a good backup center right now. He is young still with potential to develop further. Definite keep imo.

Is he a poor mans Myles Turner? That seems like a great person to model his game after.
