Terrence may win the job eventually, but I believe that Pat will start more this year.

Patterson will start until any of the rookie PFs show/develop consistent post game. Just a couple post up moves. That to me is more important than anything else on a team that starts Asik.

Patterson is going to be looked at as one of the vet leaders this year and from all I've seen he looks like he will have the best year of his career. Do I think he is the long time answer? No not with dmo, white and jones on the team. I just feel their upside is higher than ppat. None of them I believe are going to be able to outplay him though this season.

This. I'm hoping he's made the kind of leap that Landry made in his 3rd year.

It will be Pats starting. Jones, at the moment, is the best option at back-up center.

    Patterson.

I may not be a fan of him outside of his defense but there should be no denying, he is a better option then Jones at this point.

wanna bring this back to discussion

TJ looks solid tonight, he looks better and smoother than PPat

kinda if Chris Bosh and David West had a baby, it would be Terrence Jones

Well, one of the 1,000 power forwards the Rockets have drafted/signed over the past 2-3 years had to pan out at some point.

Neither? How could anybody want either of those guys over Motiejunas?

That said, it will probably be Patterson just because McHale has a mancrush on him.

    Patrick Patterson has more experience.

But from what I saw today, Terrence Jones looks good.

But you can't judge a guy with only one game.

And it was not even the regular season game.

If we are just going by one game, one pre-season game that is and really that is all we have to go by with Jones and D-Mo.

D-mo would be 3rd off the bench behind these two.

One pre-season game means absolutely nothing. It shouldn't sway opinion AT ALL. Like, it should literally have zero effect whatsoever on what you think.

But of course this is ClutchFans, so knee-jerk ahoy!

It could be something of a "Scolandry" situation. Patterson the starter at 4 with slightly better defense, TJones the offense energy guy.

Except Patterson doesnt have any refined offensive moves like Scola, TJones' offense is more dynamic. And Jones rebounding ability really is already as good if not a little better than Patterson's.

Patterson has edge in experience, IQ and floor positioning. Though he better be REALLY good at that to keep away the youngsters on the roster.

Yeah, one pre-season game doesn't mean much but it is all anyone has to really go by.

Jones has looked more impressive than D-Mo.
