He plays like Hayes in that he is a smart and good defender, both in the post and on the perimeter despite his size. But as I said, he is a more well rounded player in that he has a offensive game even if it is inconsistent and his only real knock besides the mental lapses on both sides of the ball are his rebounding issues. Carl Landry actually had similar drop in his rebounding after a few years, but the difference is that he mastered his offensive abilities and was a good for 15 points a night and a reliable post scorer. Patterson lives and dies by his jumper most games and rarely can score with his back to the basket.
I would too. I would love Mandry back. He was a great sixth man and proved his value to the team. Patterson hasn't shown that he is very valuable at all. That won't happen, though. GS would never take that deal.
Sets weak screens, lets guys go past him on poor hedges. Not to mention the poor rebounding and soft layup attempts.
The only thing he does is shoot spot up shots on offence with some efficiency. As soon as someone touches him his shot is messed up which is funny cause he looks really built.
Can we get a clip of that 12 year old Leonard pushing Patterson away for the rebound? It was like a kid taking a candy from a grown man.
