    He had the same fracture surgery as Yao - does anyone know if that is the same ankle he had surgery on before?

    I doubt that happens to any team very often......bone spurs are not that big of a deal, but IIRC didn't Shane have them removed and his ankle was weak for about 6 months?

    Could be a blessing in disguise. With rehab and all that he will probably improve his overall quickness and athleticism ala Landry...

    Bone spurs are a big deal because the underlying cause of bone spurs is lack of cartilage.

    Battier didnt have a normal rehab though....I believe he was on schedule, but then tweaked something that pushed rehab into the season and he was playing catch up after that..

    what fracture did PP have?

    In college he had the same one that Yao had this year, he had a plate inserted with screws and came back fine.....

    I was just curious if anyone knows if this was the same ankle.
