Man, John Wall just rubs me the wrong way in that video. Everyone seemed so genuine and down to earth in the video.. talking about who they want to guard because that person is a great player and joking about it. Then Wall comes up and I don't know why but it just seemed so cocky IMHO
No wrries about P-Patt....solid player, good character. He'll contribute off the bench and work hard at practice.
That was confidence, not cockiness. I have heard the difference. Cocky is people who don't think they have to work for success... confidence is those that know they can do something if they work at it hard enough.
But Wall is cocky. Maybe not in the vid, but usually he is. For some players it's needed to be great though and he's probably one of them.
Difference is Pat-Pat is saying he wants to stop Kobe or Lebron, most of the others are just saying they want to play against them. PP has the confidence to stop them, not just play against them
Why are some of you guys coming down on Patrick? He's just kidding. You guys think he lacks confidence? I mean can a guy just joke aroudn and tried to have some sense of humor a little without his team fans bashing him already without even seeing him play first?
This is why I used to laugh every time a coach would rave about his vision. Dude had 270 degrees of vision. Every pass was a NO -LOOK!
The responses in this thread make me laugh. Sports: where being humble is a sign of weakness and delusions of grandeur are praised.
