Jumpers and 3 camping makes it very, very difficult to rebound. Pat plays excellent post D, and his J is money, I still don't call him soft. We just needed a second star and his contract didn't allow the acquisition of one, and Dragic was bad for the team's future cap at the time. I bet Morey would pull both triggers in a New York minute if he could get them back now.
Funny how these kinds of threads only seem to get bumped when he has a good game. You guys jinxed him. Patterson has quietly been playing either like ass or meh for the most part in the 6 games since his season high 22 point game after a bit of a hot streak. He is looking more like Sacramento 2Pat every game and trust me, lots of those fans were extremely happy to see him leave town. Too bad he wasn't playing more like this sooner. We probably could have gotten him for cheap since his contract is up.
He has, I believe it's been 4 years, we drafted him shortly after Landry went down and not far removed from the Artest era.

A lot of people, excluding Herrera didn't like Patterson when he was with us. He was labeled soft and a bad rebounder. He's a great backup but not good enough to be starting material, he would fit our current system pretty well though. Good shot, smart and solid D.
Yep- he was frustrating to watch here. He's one of those classic early 2010s Rockets who would fit in really wow now, but got forced into awkward roles before we got Harden. I'd like him back, that said I think the Raptors will have a high asking price.
