If Patterson's out for long, I hope Jones grow up quick. Because the coaches obviously don't think he's ready right now. And DMo apparently is still quite a ways away.

This. I've seen Morris D up smaller players but he's pretty inconsistant. He doesn't seem to be able to defend 4s or bigs well. He needs to find a way to improve his defense. It's a big problem.

I wasn't paying much attention; who was attempting to guard Chris Copeland ("a guy I've never heard of") when he was dropping 29 on us tonight?

He's a second year player that's finally getting big time NBA minutes, I'm sure the coaching staff expects defensive inconsistency out of Morris.

I'd rather him get experience guarding NBA pro level players than D-Leaguers. It will definitely take time.

You are right. That's because he's more of a 3 than 4. I don't care if he played center in college.

This Patt news is depressing. I was never a fan of his but I definitely did want him to play well so that we win & it inflates his trade value. C'est la vie.

This is bad news. The injury appears more serious, than a bone bruise.
    Hope he gets better soon.

I remember last year he had offseason surgery then the lockout unexpectedly ended and he came back from his rehab too soon. I always thought that affected him last year. Then in the offseason the plan was to have surgery again to correct the last surgery. Now this.

The guy needs to take as much time to correct whatever that needs to be corrected, and do the proper rehab. Then we'll see if the nagging injuries was really affecting his play. Reminds me of Brad Lidge when he got rocked by Pujols, and that started his plummet as an Astro, it turned out that he had some knee issue that affected his play.

Good to hear it's not catastrophic. Speculation on my part has me thinking the Rockets were seriously pissed off at Pat for having surgery on his own during the lock out. I wonder if that's the crux of his situation today.

You didn't hear that, actually. Be careful with agent speak. It doesn't even say that he will be back in 2 weeks.
