as far as we know, patterson is a hard worker he's not going to let a bad game pull him down. he doesn't need scola to help him with work ethic. patterson got his own
What a huge difference it makes playing PP with Scola instead of being the sub for Scola. PP is a jump shooter, that's what he does. Last night we wanted him to be a low post player and he sucked. Tonight he played great knocking down shots away from the basket. I wonder if McHale noticed this?
McHale has been using that lineup for the past few games. I remember people were complaining about it. Patterson is a lot quicker than Camby and Dally and he was the only one who could match Cousins and he did a great job of containing his old teammate.
Cousins was too quick for Dally and Camby. Earlier on I was thinking why haven't they gone small ball since Cousins is meant to be 6-10. It wasn't until after the game that I remembered McHale has left using small ball at the last run to stop the other team from adjusting to it.
Some of you are annoying whiny bunch. Give up too quick on talented guys and then fall in love with scrubs and never will be type players. Learn the game of basketball before some of you talk about guys like this.
This thread is a good example of why I'll never understand making threads specifically designed to denigrate a certain player. Especially young ones with potential for growth and improvement.
I am more concerned about his rebounding. He only had 4 rebounds in 31 min? 3 of them were OREB, so I am sure those were from him grabbing his own miss like he always does. I didn't get to watch the game, but it will take more than one night of draining that 18 footer for me to think Pat is more than just a second string PF.
I think he didn't get that many rebounds because of Camby and Scola. SCola had 14 and Camby with 7. But i agree, consistent rebounding is a must.
Yeah he has to work on rebounding. Might not be such a big deal if he can lock down his own man with defense and score pretty good.
"I didn't see the game, so I'm going to ignore the fact that he led the team in scoring including hitting the clutch jumper that sent the game into overtime, and instead complain about his rebounding, even though he tied for the team lead in offensive rebounds." Man, people will complain no matter what if they really want to.
