If I remember correctly there was a report saying if we made it to the WCF that Beverley was going to play. Just checking to see if anyone has heard any updates on his availability Lock if posted.
On May 2nd, McHale said that "Pat won't be back", when asked if Bev would return at any point during the playoffs. Seems like Bev hoped he would, but McHale made it sound as though no chance, even if we were playing in June. It was a cbssports article FYI
The Rockets have shown no confidence he will play. Bev, who isn't a doctor, thinks he can play after his cast is removed on the 20th (the day after Game 1). Don't expect him to play.
If someone can help me, what are the official rules on that? I thought with a team's playoff roster, you name and set your 12 guys, and then that's it. 1 Terry 2 Harden 3 Ariza 4 Smith 5 Howard 6 Prigioni 7 Brewer 8 Jones 9 Capela 10 Dorsey 11 Johnson 12 Papanikalou That's it, right? No space. Are you allowed to swap out after you name your 12 guys? Honestly we shouldn't even be hypothesizing about WCF. 1 game at a time.
So when Rockets win the finals, DMO won't be getting a ring? He won't get to call himself a champion?
Even if he is ready, I highly doubt Mchale will play him straight after an injury in a conference finals.
A team might just say there is no chance of him coming back just so there isn't a distraction. They might not really mean it.
I dont give a sh%t about a contract. if he can play, is healthy and can make our team better in the playoff run, I'm pretty sure thats more important. I hope he waits until the finals (if we make it there) to help out just to be safe if he does come back
You don't. He and more importantly his agent do. There is a big chance that the Rockets won't resign him and he must look for a new job.
can any of our resident doctors here chime in? if he gets the cast off next week, what is the timeframe for being able to return to court?
