Blowing up the team. They don’t see themselves anywhere near a title, even after having some really good seasons over the last 4 years.
Practical move, shedding salary and bringing in more defense. But, WB and Bev on the same team. **Covering my face** It’ll be fun to watch, especially if they free fall.
Also sneaky because the Lakers will get a bigger discount on the Westbrook buyout after a few practices with Pat.
Beverly is no big deal and probably gets hurt and sits out most of the year, but the lakers are fixing to get a lot better. It would be criminal for the pacers to not trade Turner and Heild for 2 unprotected firsts from the Lakers. A lineup of Lebron, Heild, Turner, Davis, and whatever other veteran they sign off the scrap heap is championship caliber if Davis and Lebron are healthy come playoff time. Don’t underestimate their ability to get veteran ring chasers on the cheap for this year’s run. There’s a lot of ifs, but the Lakers now have 2 years to try and maximize Lebron’s last 2 years.
The Lakers had two airball shooters. Now they have only one. And Beverley will soon take that remaining one out too. LOL. One stone, two bird.
I swear Pat Bev is so damn Hilarious. I felt like the Rockets tried to restrain his true personality. When he left the Rockets this dude went nutz.
Meanwhile, their new coach has been quoted as saying he likes the Lakers as currently constructed. Ham is either lying, delusional, or just bad at basketball. He and Kendrick Perkins I think are the only people on the planet that think this will work. Do the LA brass really believe people are falling for their, everything is ok in LA, BS? Yes, they are trying to bolster WB's trade value. But if he comes into camp disinterested or with hurt feelings, his value could fall even further, couldn't it?
All seems relatively quiet right now in Laker Nation, but training camps open in just over 2 weeks. Cant wait for the drama to begin.
