And to think that the will to play hard was actually a skill in and of itself this whole time, which a lot of players actually lack in the NBA. This x100, thanks Bev, my favorite Rocket ever!

It's the off-season bro. Half of the current NBA stories aren't needed. Gotta get content to generate interest.

Writers have bills to pay lol

You'd just talk about the Taco Bell Skills Champion this casually?

Athletes get asks questions all the time and they know how to give a non-answer if they want to. He simply could have said "I'm just happy where I am now with the LA Clippers and I'm moving on" or "I'm grateful for my time in Houston" or "no hard feelings with the Rockets". I don't see how he gains anything from this. If anything, Rockets fans might not miss him as much lol

The times where I've seen him create offense have not been good. He doesn't have that savvy in the paint area that you expect from a good PG. But good for him to get that chance at least. He'll certainly make a helluva lot more money if he can show some potential on offense. I'm sure him being pigeonholed as 3D PG in a league where most teams have good PGs makes it difficult to get a big contract.

With the Rockets, he wasn't the first guy getting interviewed, but now he is...and he wants to speak more. Maybe he doesn't think what he said is something that he feels should offend Rockets fans?

I don't think it offends either. It just changes the impression some of us have of him

This is the first time he's taken a deep dive into what happened this offseason, this would be the only logical time to say something like this.

If it changes your impression about him, I think that's more of a personal issue. A competitor wanting a more significant role shouldn't be perception-altering.

Don't see the big deal either. I just don't see any benefit from saying it. It's not the same thing as Kyrie because Kyrie was in a much better situation. But a lot of fans look at Kyrie differently now.

    Ouch. Geez thanks.

I mentioned this to my coworker who is a season ticket holder who wears rockets gear to work almost every day. She was shocked because her impression of Beverley was that he understood and loved his role on the team and didn't really care for the limelight or a bigger role. There are role players who are competitors but understand their role on the team.
