True to an extent, but Harden had one of the highest usage rates in league history. Beverley will have the ball in his hands a LOT more by default.

This is what I'm curious about. It makes little sense to sign the best passer in the world and put him on a bench role, Teodosic is just too good for that and I'm sure he wouldn't have joined a team where he wasn't promised heavy minutes and a good role.

Other thing is: Clippers surely surveyed Bev for a long time, do they really think he's a starting playmaker in the league? As much as we love Bev, I think most people don't see him as a primary playmaker for a contending team.

How would you see his role growing?

I love Bev and really hated losing him. His shooting improved and his offense added a few wrinkles to it while he was here. I think my only knock on him was when he had to create he made some awful decisions under pressure. But he's a peacock and we had to let him fly.

one things for sure Bev won't be getting the same type of looks he got here in houston so his shots are likely to suffer a bit.

Love Pat Bev the Rocket, so much praise I could list.

But honestly, I can see him become our next Bruce Bowen.

I listened to that part three times and I gathered that he saw the writing on the wall, knew CP3 was coming and didn't want to come off the bench. That dude has earned being a starter and I think he just wanted to be in a place to let his career grow rather than come off the bench. I respect that. It didn't sound like it was about leaving Houston, just about keeping his starting spot.

Moving on, PBev went down a notch in my book after saying that Draymond Green was one of his good friends. I'm not sure how to feel about that. We need 12 guys that despise Golden State and all want to slap the smile off of Draymond and punch that smile onto Klay Thompson's wanna be hard all the time face, then spin that little punk Curry around so many times he starts sinking threes on his own bucket. When KD sees all that he'll run like the coward he is and then we can look at Bev and be like, your friend ain't smiling no more.

See NY? When our players ask for a trade we trade them!

    Go get paid, Bev.

For all those curious about what Pat will do next year, predict his stats.

    This year:
    67 games, 30.7 mpg, 8.1 FGA, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.5 turnovers/g, 9.5 ppg

I wouldn't be suprised to see him do:

13 ppg, 5 apg, 6 rpg, 2 spg and 2 topg (Slight increases across the board)

If Doc is smart, he'll keep Pat's minutes low so to avoid injury.

pretty much agree, except maybe more turnovers as he gets stuck with the ball and unable to create or get separation with the clock running down

Pat doesn't goof off half the time like Harden so his stats will be 61.4 mpg (every LAC game will go into OT) 16.2 FGA 11.8 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 3 steals, 3 turnovers and 19ppg

I think his scoring and assists go up a lot. 14ppg, 6 assists, 3.5 rebounds (playing next to DeAndre/Blake), 1.5 steals, hair under 3 turnovers per game with the increased load. He stays healthy and plays 80 games.

Some of you brehs will really be surprised once he's playing, Euro players somehow are automatically underrated despite Non-Euro NBA fans not really knowing them.

That Phoenix game gave him delusions of grandeur.
