Very little talent. Specializes in getting under people's skin, but now most guards realize he's not the elite defending PG he's been touted as, and don't let his antics get to them. He can't guard the top guards in the league anywhere near as well as a top notch defensive guard such as Avery Bradley. Should not be a starting player, kinda odd to see him hold that role for so long in Houston. I guess you can file that under "evidence of mismanagement".
PatBev is not a starter- granted. However, his Coach, JBB, shafted him, and SHAFTED THE REST OF THE ROCKETS by doing something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT HE WAS DOING ALL SEASON LONG. PAT knows how to play with the original starters: DWIGHT + DMO + ARIZA + HARDEN. Unfortunately, JBB thought he knew some secret no one else knew, and forgot that, in reality, the reason why Rockets even won 41 games this season was because JAMES HARDEN compensated for the rest of the teams shortcomings. JBB needs to THINK LESS, and KEEP IT SIMPLE. High Pick-n-Roll with Harden and Dwight... find the open shooters. WE CAN DO MUCH BETTER THAN GAME 1.
Pat Beverley has never been a starting caliber guard. Some people knew this years ago. No one listened.
Bev is a great defender. He held Curry to only 24 points in game 1. Well below Curry's season average.
This is laughable. Curry was on his way to a 50 point game. Bev has to find another way to get under Curry's skin, physicality won't work the warriors get phantom calls Bev will foul himself into becoming a non factor in this series. He's got to calm down and try to get in Curry's head. Walk up to Curry and say "hey congratulations on your wife's new cooking show, is that ***** on the nenu"?
I would do a KG and say crap like: "I slept with your mom, your sister, and your wife." "I see Riley on Pornhub's future in 15 years." "There is no god." "We killed your god." "Curry chicken sucks"
Pat tried to knock Curry out by giving him a hard bump in the pre-game greet, Curry just laughed it off.
He's a joke because he can barely make lay ups and not an offense or defense threat. Everyone knows he just dribble the ball up and pass the ball to harden
Can't play defense. Got owned by Ian Clark and Livingston. 2 guys that didn't even have a gurantee NBA contract 3 years ago. He has the fake defense by trying to hurt people and face guarding them. Also, nice defense when someone is shooting FT(see Blocking Klay Thompson's FT....nice!) Obviously have zero offense. 20% FG???
Beverly sucks. Fake defense, cant shoot, drive in the lane with no clue what he is going to do. I rather see Seth lil brother. At least he can shoot on a consistent basis. Harden will dominate the ball, just need someone that can dribble to halfcourt. Harden will dribble for the next 18 secs of the shot clock.
