I would make him take 1000 threes at each corner in every practice. He can skip other other stuff in the practice.

There was no sense of urgency (except maybe Brewer) in our offense, and frankly our half-court offense is atrocious (stating the obvious).

Difference between Beverly and those guys is those other guys can pass the ball and in general do more for their team. You can sustain a bad shooting night from them the same way you can sustain a bad shooting night from Harden because he does more than just shoot.

Beverly's only job on the team should be to hit 3s and defend. When he tries to pass and initiate offense it looks bad, he's bad at the PNR and just bad at being a PG. Those other guys you mentioned are excellent at carrying offense, maintaining pace, initiating offense just as well.

Except for Jackson, Ellis, Derozan. The latter two are SGs any ways and Jackson is just an overrated PG but I'd still take him over Beverly personally.

It has been noticeable that Bev has been trying to handle the ball more possibly to prove he can be a serviceable pg. Looks like Harden hasn't even tried to demand the ball as much and is allowing Bev to handle the ball more. More times than not the possessions are not positive with Bev trying to ball handle and set up something in the half court. His is just not a good traditional pg, period. He is a 3 and D guy and he has struggled at 3 and D most of this season as well. I been saying that with the front office's insistence on sticking with a weak coach like McHale that they needed to prioritize getting another floor general besides Harden. The pg situation is one of the biggest indictments on the front office.

Beverley even led the team in assists in the ORL game

ariza had a good amount to do with those shots from cp3 not just beverley. and payton still isn't that good. beverley still isn't playing as good as he needs to be but hopefully the trend is going up as we wind down the season

I don't think I've ever said this about a shooter, and maybe the numbers don't back it up, but I swear Bev is a better 3 point shooter from anywhere than the corners. It doesn't seem like he eyes up the corner correctly but his shot looks so much better from the elbow 3.

I think it would cause you physical pain to give him any kind of credit. LOL.

I like Pat Bev. I feel like he plays better when he's angry and someone just needs to piss him off.

We need to hire somebody to punch Bev in the face before every game.

The Phoenix guards burned us tonight.

Here are the stat lines for the Phoenix point guards.
    Eric Bledsoe (6 ft 1 inches / 190 pounds)
    - 11-18 Shooting for 34 Points
    - 2-3 on three point attempts
    - 10-11 on free throws
    - 8 rebounds
    - 4 assists
    - 3 steals
    - 2 personnel fouls

    Archie Goodwin (6 ft 5 inches / 200 pounds)
    - 5-10 Shooting for 11 points
    - 3 rebounds.

I know Bledsoe is tough to handle, but Patrick should be able to D up Archie. I know Patrick only played 28 minutes and was not guarding Eric or Archie the whole time, but if Patrick is not playing defense, it is hard to justify Patrick being on the floor since defense is the only thing he is supposed to bring and the reason he is on the floor.

P.J. Tucker also had an above average game with 8-12 shooting for 19 points. But since he is the bigger guard (6'6", 260 pounds) he would have been guarded by Harden, Brewer and Terry.

For reference, Bledsoe averages 17 points and Archie averages 5 points, so they both doubled their averages in this game. While, Patrick was not guarding Bledsoe and Archie the whole time, his defense was just horrible. The fact that Patrick had 6 fouls and Bledsoe went to the line 11 times is also reflective of the decline in his ability to defend opposing players. I could understand if Bledsoe went off since Bledsoe is an all-star talent, but for Bledsoe and Archie to go off speaks to Patricks lack of defense.

Bev's defense has been mostly solid lately, but tonight was just awful. Got no help from his bigs either.
