Something tells me you won't see KJ and Ennis play much, despite the current injuries to Pat and Capela, lest they get hurt and eff up a potential trade to clear them off the books.
Cap out, ok. Cap + Bev out - that's two starters. And two of our best defensive player. The last few games were struggle without them. Even Harden's amazing historic game was a struggle. Rockets is finding way to win and holding it together, but we need Bev back badly. Also so disappointed with Ennis. If he rise to the occasion, the Rockets wouldn't struggle as much. He hasn't done anything in the few chances he's getting now.
After saying Beverly would play in tonight's game yesterday, today Coach says that Bev is still experiencing pain in his right wrist and is a game-time decision.
Agreed, if he still has pain I would just rest him. However, it's concerning that what was supposed to be a minor thing has now dragged on. This seems to be a common theme.
The Rockets do have 3 games in 4 nights starting tonight. It's a gamble, but maybe you try to buy Bev one more day of rest and then see if he can go in Orlando and Toronto.
Man, I was really hoping Bev would be better by tonight. I don't like how our team's injuries always end up being worse than anticipated.
In one of the photos from practice I saw the brace thing around his wrist, looked like more than just "pain." Preparing myself for the "needs wrist surgery to repair ligaments, out 3 months" news.
He's kidding, but given Bev's history, it wouldn't be surprising. The dude sustained a season-ending wrist injury 2 years ago just going up to contest a shot in Indiana.
