Beverly's career as a Rocket is likely over. He just didn't have a good season for whatever reasons. I don't think he will be back.

This talk of using a three-headed PG in Terry, Prigs and Nick will never happen in the playoffs. We can't look at the skill sets of three players who play the same position and believe we have everything covered.

Sure, let's play all three different times/games to close out the regular season, but you got to go with only two in the playoffs. Pick your two. No way McHale will (or should) play three PGs in the playoffs.

    jh
    dh
    tj
    dmo
    js
    ariza
    brewer

That's seven must-play guys, and Dorsey isn't even in that list. we aren't adding 3 PGs to that to go 10 deep in the playoffs...or 11 with Dorsey.

I might be the only person slightly more worried about the offensive drop-off. Say what you want about Bev, but he was reliable for that catch and shoot 3. I don't see Nick magically becoming that guy in the next 3 weeks, but maybe Pablo suddenly finds his rhythm.

We don't have a choice + Terry is not really a PG and Nick not really either so:

    Terry / Prigs
    Harden / Nick
    Ariza / Brewer
    TJ / Josh
Howard / D-Mo (if not healthy, Dorsey).

well according to this, its going to be terry and prigs. however i wouldn't be surprised to see NJ in spot minutes for defense even if that means 2 mins at the end of a quarter.

I actually think this makes it much more likely that we keep him. His price just went down. We can probably retain him on the cheap while also bringing in another PG.

Bev would be great off the bench, TBH.

It sucks man more so with those good PGs we have in the West, like Clutch said in his article I expect to see Brewer minutes picking up.

McHale will NEVER play Nick in the playoffs so that isn't happening and anyone who thinks that hasn't watched many Rockets games.. McHale is notorious for playing a short rotation and that's even the regular season.. come playoff time he will start Terry and give Prigs around 10-12 min a game as a backup and come the 4th qtr with about 7 min left you will HOPEFULLY see this rotation depending on who we play

    PG- Harden
    SG-Brewer
    SF- Ariza
PF- Smith or Jones or D-mo
    C- Howard

the PF spot is interchangeable depending on personnel we are facing.. But Harden will take over at that spot during crunch time..

Yeah, the Rockets expected to retain Parsons as well. How'd that turn out? If someone wants to overpay Bev, he ain't gonna be here. The only reason his inconsistent and often mediocre play is tolerated is because like Parsons before this season, he's on a cheap contract and we don't have any better options at that position. But Morey cannot seriously think that we don't need to improve at PG. Otherwise why make a run at Dragic as hard as he did?

Isn't Pablo a career (in the NBA) 40%-ish 3PT shooter? Just as Josh Smith & Cory Brewer fell back to the mean in terms of their shooting after a hot start, I expect Pablo will quickly begin approaching his average with more minutes. At least I hope...

    His legs should be fresh.

Clippers passed on picking up Nate Robinson for the rest of the season because he is injured, but he is expected to be healthy in about a week. Might be an option.

Yup. It's weird, too -- you have to think the looks he's getting are more wide open than what he's used to. Posted this in the game thread yesterday, but it seems like the more open/set he is, the less likely the shot goes down. Maybe having time to think about it gets him in his head or something?

I totally agree that they won't play 3 PGs in the main rotation. The third one will only play in garbage time or when injury/foul trouble happens. Teams normally play an 8-man rotation. There is a chance that McHale will only play one PG and have Harden plays the backup PG role.

    Terry/Harden
    Harden/Brewer
    Ariza/ Brewer/Smith
    Motiejunas/Jones/Smith
    Howard/Motiejunas

The more intriguing part is actually how McHale is going to rotate the four bigs.

Really don't see Prig will have much chance to play in the playoff.

If Terry is getting abused, McHale will just switch him with Ariza on the PG, if Terry will also be sucking on the offense, McHale will just go with Harden 40 minutes on 1+2 and let Terry eat 10 minutes or so.

That's probably our best chance to win in the playoff.

Agreed on Johnson, he won't have chance to play either unless its blow out either eay.
