Would have to agree, but the bench at least has to try to maintain the lead or build one while the starters rest. I'm sensing the bench will get max 20minutes no more.

Isn't Lin still sort of dealing with his back? I think he's still riding the bike in games right? Although he did say it felt much better since a few games ago (forgot which game he said that).

Huh? He didn't even play that many minutes.

Anyway, the season is pretty much lost. Without Bev we are second round material at best.

Hopefully Morey can upgrade the bench in the offseason so we have enough depth to withstand injuries. And hopefully we have better injury luck next season.

Is he? I dunno, I haven't heard, I only read about that. Can anyone confirm? At least it looks like Lin can still play and isn't 'limited' by it much as far as I can see.

Nah. He'll be back when we have to face OKC in the 2nd round. ;)

Hope that Caanan can grow up really fast.

From an opponent's perspective, here is what I see you lose: obviously a good defender, but I think that Harden and Howard's natural tendencies are to be pretty mellow and not ultra competitive. It seems Beverley brought your team's intensity up, and others followed suit. Strangely enough, just like Westbrook for us.

But it also seems like he is incredibly limited offensively, so I think Lin is a plus in that aspect. But your bench will be hurt as a result. Cause I have no clue who your third string PG is.

    Is that about right?

The big drop off isn't going from Bev to Lin, it's from our PG rotation going from Bev/Lin to Lin/Canaan.

Bev might not have shut down any of the elite, but he pissed them off and made them work to get theirs. Not to mention he was able to play 30+ minutes without really turning the ball over while at the same time hitting threes at an acceptable rate.

I don't expect Lin or Canaan to be able to fill in the same way defensively, but we just have to hope they can limit turnovers and hit the open 3 point looks.

I also blame the MAC and the rockets. We can't be unfair to Cannan as he will be learning the ropes but the guy should have gotten some more burn considering there was a big likelihood we might need him.

Damn, that hurts bad. We're already defensively challenged. Frankly I wonder if we're better off moving Harden to the 1, and starting Garcia at the 2 to defend the better SG/SF.

Nothing against Lin, just feel we need more defense than offense with the starting unit. In fact I'm ecstatic we have someone of Lin's calibre as a backup G, he's a starting quality player.
