Probably wise to rest him until at least the 3-game roadie next week. As long as the Rockets don't do worse than 2-2 in their next 4 games, they should be in good shape for the 4th seed and home court in Round 1. If they manage to sweep all 4, then the 3rd seed is still in play and maybe McHale has a reason to bring back Dwight and Bev sooner rather than later.

Great news for Rockets fans that Beverley will be returning this season. Hope he and Dwight can get back and play at their normal level going into the playoffs.

    Nah....

You prepare for the worst and hope for the best. It isn't really a Houston sports fan issue. It is a torn meniscus, that usually is not a good thing.

Beverley is a true rocket warrior. Glad that he wants to play so bad. Shows his toughness and drive. Hopefully he remains cautious though... probably should scale back the bulldog psycho defense a tiny bit just in case it's not fully healed. The team probably wouldn't risk long term injury so this news is great.

Yao, Mcgrady, heck I will even throw Juwan Howard in there, it wouldn't be new to Rocket fans to have a key player go out before/during playoffs.

That's great news... I don't care about OKC fans( i never read any of their comments), i am just happy he will be back for the play-offs.

Great news! Love Bev and his fight!

I do worry about some players who will target his knee in the playoffs. Beverley is arguably the 3 most valuable player on our team. And even more so in the playoffs against some of the best point guards in the league. Having him is the difference from a second round exit to WCF/Finals.

This kid has so much passion and heart.

He is taking such a big risk to help the Rockets. Remember, that he could easily sit out and get that big pay day. He is yet to be paid. Instead he comes out and risks injury that could jeopardize his career for good. Hope it ends well for Bev. He deserves everything good that goes his way. He knows that as a Houston Rocket starter, he is a vital piece for the playoff run.

Gotta give it to PBev, such a soldier. Much tougher than WestBrick and JLin for sure.

No reason for him to come back before the playoffs in my opinion. That will give him almost three weeks to heal.
