I'm not as concerned with the drop off from Bev to Lin. Honestly, I think our record would probably be the same if they had switched places.

Bev certainly did not "stop" the elite pgs anyways (no one really can these days).

I'm more concerned about the lack of quality depth.

Blessing in disguise if Canaan ends up a beast?

Thunder fan here so I know all about Maynor. At one time, he was considered one of the very best backup point guards in the league. A lot was made of the fact that he led the Thunder to a big win over Dallas in the 4th quarter of the WCF while Westbrook sat. But then he tore his ACL the next season and he was never the same once he came back. He became pretty bad and we traded him for peanuts because we had Reggie Jackson. He's a shell of his former self.

The guy has hundreds of thousands of fans. There's extremists. Any surprise?
There's also OKC fans that are saying that it's justice.

Has nothing to do with us.

Eric Maynor seems like the likely pick up here. Possibly Mike James?

    Canaan -

Weaknesses: Will be limited by his lack of height, particularly when finishing and defending on the perimeter ... Had a very suspect assist-to-turnover ratio in college ... His lack of good competition downplays his impressive numbers ... Can be foul-prone and his aggressiveness sometimes causes him to commit unnecessary charges

Beaubois jumps out a little bit. He was a good backup PG a couple years ago and he's only 26.

I don't think we should focus on getting a Bev-replacement. That is someone who specializes in defense. Anyone that can play decently for 10-15 minutes will have to do.

Ugh.....this is a HUGE blow, smh. Man...Canaan is going to have to grow up quickly, I liked what I saw defensively out of Canaan and he's surprising athletic. Lin can be good offensively but of course the major concern with Lin is his defense. Need to sign a vet pg of some kind for playoff run no doubt.

Over reaction by people saying our season is lost. Lmao. If Harden or Howard went down THEN our chances at the title would be lost. Smh.

Quick look at his stats and it seems he regressed each year in the league.

Bev is a fan-favorite. I understand their dismay.

I think he's still got one more run in him. That '97 WCF left a bad taste in his mouth.

Mark my words. Lin's performance, either through turnover, terrible shooting or bad defense, will cost us a playoff series this year. You heard it first here:(

What ****ing bad news. Damnation. Hell and damnation. This hurts. We could ill afford to lose Beverley. He's the cornerstone of our perimeter defense, not that he limited his excellent defense to the perimeter. Our stroll through the playoffs into the second round and beyond just became a slog in quicksand, destination unknown.
