ESPN just said that the Cardinals will be retiring his #40. I was really hoping they would so I was glad to hear that. I've never believed much in destiny ......................
I think that the greatest thing about what Pat and his brother did is that when you hear these things there is often a down side, whether it be political, cultural or whatever. There is always something in almost every situation that really places doubt in my mind and allows me to sort of blow off the situation and continue to live my life without really letting the situation touch and affect me, I can find no fault in this happening. Over the past two days whenever Pat has entered my thoughts there is nothing but the greatest admiration and respect for all he did to protect my freedoms. The inspiration that I get from this story can not be challenged, not by political squabbling not by anything, it is rare in a world that is as complicated as the one we live in today to find that kind of purity.
