liberal or conservative. republican or democrat - these are issues that ALL american give a damn about.

    I used the term 'protectionist.'

    Basso used 'xenophobic clown'

I think basso's much more accrurate.

Do you guys really want to debate the 'substance.'??? Even when he weaves in his whining about hispanics getting all the jobs. The man's a nut.

I dislike Buchanananananan, but I like the fact that he worked in the term "fellow traveler."

I don't know much about Pat Buchanon (whoever he is)

But I do know that our prosperous economy has three foundations underneath it- Debt, China/Asia propping up the dollar's value, and global military force.

However strong that foundation remains will determine our future prosperity.

I wish all our politicians well, and our grandchildren courage and strong character.

Pat Buchanan can be obnoxious at times, but he speaks the truth. He actually supports legal immigration as mentioned before, and is not the monster that some on the left and the Neo-con right portrays him to be. I share many of the views espoused by him and believe he is a true 'old school' conservative, unlike the pseudo conservative masquerading as the President we currently have in the White House. The Republican Party has been hijacked by the Neo-Cons and is no longer a party that I can trust. Really, if you look at some of the policies of GWB, he's more of a liberal than a conservative. Bring back the old Republican Party that stood for fiscal responsibility, limited government, anti-illegal immigration, and an isolationist America in which our country comes first before all others.
