In reference to the OP, I hope he dies too, because if he never dies, it means he is a zombie, vampire, or even worse, some form of demon or satanic prince.

The more I think about the possibilities, the less secure I become in the future of our nation and even the world.

I think I am going to go to church today.

    Was that thunder?

It never ceases to amaze me how a person can spend their entire life reading the Bible...then become a pastor...continue to preach the Gospel...

...and through all of this, manage to completely and entirely miss the point.

Perhaps if people were to be less concerned about the sins of others and become more concerned with their own sins and foibles, they would lead happier lives.

Just because man may misunderstand religion or use it to rationalize awful behavior does not in any way make the existence of God more or less likely.

If the reverend Jemeriah"America's chicken coming home to roost" Wright were to pray for a quick death to W, I bet all you lefties here will be in complete agreement with the reverend.

    Oh the hypocrisy!

Why don't you point out some of the posters who you believe were wishing for a quick death to Bush.

I'm very proud of my rep, it means that I'm doing something right ticking off you lefties.

Anytime when a lefty loves you or agrees with you, you know you are dead wrong! Anytime when a lefty hates you or violently disagrees with you, you know 100% that you are dead right!

Lefties think the earth revolves around the sun; they also believe kids shouldn't be killed. And that rape is bad. It must suck for you to believe the opposite.

Actually it means that you make statements and provide absolutely zero evidence to back it up, and aren't able to debate based on fact and substance.

Until you show lefties hoping that Bush would die, or even praying for Bush to dry, your accusations mean nothing.

Disagreeing with a President, even calling him a murderer is different than hoping and praying for him to die.

It's odd that you equate disagreeing with a president as hoping that he dies.

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior."

    1 Timothy 2:1-3

I can find where it says we should pray for our leaders but for the life of me can't find where it says we should pray for them to die. Anyone?

So when I see your posts and all the venom against Obama and the "lefties", I can assume you're wishing for their deaths as well?

Yeah, I remember alot of anger towards W and his policies, but never any death threats, veiled or open.

Agreed, my fault for questionable phrasing... It was late and I could only be angry in a very tired and ineloquent manner.

However, incredibly idiotic and evil (imo) statements such as this coming from a pastor cast such an incredible pall over the validity of his version of the Christian message that, by correlation, disparages the beliefs of Christians on the whole, which, form a personal standpoint, ticks me off to no end.

There is a quote at the beginning of the song "What if I Stumble" by DC Talk(1995) that goes: "The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians. Who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, then walk out the door, and get on with their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds, unbelievable."

The quote speaks of hypocrisy but I think the pastor goes a bit beyond just hypocrisy.

I was always taught in Sunday school that to wish for the death of another is a sin. This is why the Catholic church has historically opposed the death penalty.
