Well, at least he knows that it was just a "right place, right time" thing. Which is true for a lot of contracts.

What fans like to forget (or maybe don't understand) is that hiring employees (or signing players) is a complicated market with asymmetrical information. It isn't NBA Live where guys have a number rating and you know what you're going to get for your money. We aren't getting what we thought we might out of Anderson, but such is life. Can't fret about it every day.

I don't think Dwight is grossly overpaid. He's getting market for a center with his numbers on a shorter term deal. He's still a decent defender, he just doesn't fit in the modern NBA offense. 16/12 18 PER and he's played nearly every game. I can see him getting one more significant contract ~3/60 before going the ring chasing vet min route. Teams that can't attract stars like the Hornets or Brooklyn will pay him. Being healthy is a big part of earning your check and he's at least done that, the is my biggest concern of a super max CP3 extension.

Parsons/his agent is obviously a good salesman since he's scammed 2 teams in a row out of paying him superstar money.
