I said that before the playoffs started - at least the team would have an identity.

Step one, have Parsons recruit Dwight to Dallas for the Super Max.
Step two, have Parsons leave the mavs for the magic.
Step three, laugh my ass off.

Among all the centers in the league, Dwight is

    12th in PPG

    4th in RPG

    8th in BPG

    19th in TS%

    17th in PER

    37th in RPM

    12th in WS

    39th in WS/48

    38th in BPM

    21st in VORP

He's a barely top 5 rebounder and that's it. Nowhere close to top 10 center, let alone top 5. And it's going to get even worse as years go by and his body breaks down.

I hope Dwight goes to Dallas, and Drummond comes to Houston.

I hope Dallas waste their time and money on Dwight when they really should be going after Whiteside.

you mean the role he's been asked to play for the last 5 years and is unwilling to do?

    that would be scary.

LOL Parsons is going to opt out? That seems like a very dumb risk. His two seasons with the Mavericks have been filled with injuries that he hasn't even been in the playoffs save for the 1st quarter of last years' playoff series.

Does he really think he would get 15M+ as a player with major knee and back problems?

This is pretty bad but it would be pretty "funny" to see him opt out thinking he will get max deals and stumble in FA, settling for a sub-10M to MLE type deal with a crappy team.

As for Dwight, I kinda hope he does leave or in the very least opts out. Nightmare scenario would be if Dwight opts in and mess us our cap space for free agency. He can opt out while we put offers out on players then resign for less.

While we joke that DD should never be a GM, there are teams out there with guys just like DD at GM. There will be a team that overpays Parsons because of a stupid fascination with him.

Like they got more out of Wesley and Parsons and Williams?

    Villanueva and Felton?

    THANK GOD!
It's not his lack of post-moves, or the terrible FT%... It's his LOW IQ, and LACK OF EFFORT that I am glad to see depart from the Rockets.

DD lemme get this one for you, you're being unfairly attacked here. I'll channel my inner DD for your response:

Le$ is cheap. He doesn't spend money, wah wah wah. Morey is an idiot who doesn't grow talent, doesn't draft well, and treats players like assets, blah blah blah. The Rockets organization is broken, we never should have let VSpan go, JVG is an idiot, DMo is a superstar, blah blah blah.

    I think I nailed it.

God this forum is an ugly place... Celebrating injuries and wanting your own players gone. I think most of the Rockets fans deserved this year.

IF Dwight has checked out and is looking forward to greener pastures, JB should cut is minutes for this crucial game and roll with Capela getting most of the minutes but I am sure that will not happen. I am hoping Dwight decides to go out fighting and not give in and out feebly into the Summer.
