That is why I knew Parsons wasn't getting traded, guys. Just follow the team and pay attention closely.

How would you know? All he said was that he talked to Daryl and his agent and they told him he wasn't going anywhere. For all he knows, Daryl did throw his name out there and told him he wasn't going anywhere after Boston didn't budge and talks fizzled.

I don't understand why everyone thinks that Morey is this snake in the grass that is shooting off cryptic statement. If there was a chance that Chandler was going to get traded he would have said it. There is a reason that our players in years past played like crap leading up to the deadline: Morey was calling everyone an asset. There was no drop off this year leading up to the Deadline because he said that he liked the team often on the radio.

I've asked before, but I'll ask again: Has Morey lied about anything as the GM of the Rockets? Is there any evidence that he has lied to the fans or has treated the players poorly that have been dealt?

Aaron brooks keeps coming back even though he keeps getting traded
Dragic praises the organization even though they didn't want to give him more money
Even Lowry speaks highly of the Rockets.

Morey is not the Evil Genius you want him to be.

I wasn't making him out to be any of that. It would all come down to timing. If morey spoke with Chandler after the talks were dead, or they didnt go anywhere, then Morey could have still dropped his name earlier AND still would not have been lying to Chandler.

Also, like someone in the Rondo thread suggested, Morey could have only mentioned Parsons to keep a line of communication open with Ainge. something like, " Oh you want chandler, well just call me back before you agree to anything." Maybe he was willing to trade him, or maybe he just didn't want to cut off the communication. We dont know. chandler may not even now. Morey doesn't have to tell him everything and i don't think hiding something like that would make Morey a snake.

It's not much a different than a coach holding back something to manage his players correctly. it can be done without lying or burning bridges.

I haven't seen any news report that states Houston offered up Parsons. In the reports it can be inferred that it was always Boston that asked.

Unfortunately he stayed, there is always the next time ... I hope he steps up against Phoenix.
