and Parnell had a sidekick, and they kidnapped another boy years later and it triggered "Steven"s memory- the teenage Steven took the young boy on the side of the road and flagged down the police

it might have given me more creeps than "It"

i remember how when the boy went back home as a teenager, not even really remembering his family, I couldnt understand how the family was so uncomfortable and dysfunctional...

okay- somebody help me.. remember some of the old HBO programs? there was "First and 10", "Dream On", and another one that I cant remember...

it was about bachelors in their late 30's/early 40's- they were sleezebags- maybe it took place in Vegas or in Los Angeles?

    does anyone remember this program?

    late 80's, early 90's

He played the character "Jonas Quinn" on about a season and a half Stargate: SG-1 when the actor who played Daniel Jackson left the show. He was actually pretty good, but once said actor decided to return, it was finitos for Parker Lewis...

Uhh. No. OJ wasn't in it. Delta Burke was, however, back when she would be considered "hot."

And FYI, the "punter" became the voice of the "cryptkeeper."

    Learn your facts.

OMG. I can't believe that someone else has noticed the Hackett Brothers/Chip & Dale parallels. Joe wore a flight jacket, Chip wore a flight jacket. Brian would wear t-shirts, while Dale would always Hawaiian shirts. Joe and Chip were serious, Brian and Dale were goofballs. They're perfect matches.

But good catch with the Roy/Monty and Helen/Gadget similarities. I never noticed that. The Wings/Rescue Rangers connection is stronger than I first suspected.

LOL! Looks like Fatty needs to learn his facts. O.J. was in 1st and Ten. I remember watching this show vividly as a youngster and two things always stuck out. O.J. Simpson was in it and the guy that played Ogre from "Revenge of the Nerds" was in it also. O.J.'s name in it was TD Parker. Ogre's name was something like Dr. Mad or or Death or Havoc or something like that. Check your facts Fatty.

Can you give any more details. I used to love HBO programming. I loved "Dream On", "Tales from the Crypt", "1st and Ten", "Not Necessarily the News", "The Hitchhiker", "Hardcore TV", and many others.

YES, YES, YES! Exactly! The flight jacket, the personalities, it's all spot on. Now what are we supposed to do w/ this valuable information? I think this has the potential to make tens of dollars.

Man, "Dream On", "1st and Ten" and "The Hitchhiker" were consistently delivering the skin throughout my adolescense.

I also want to mention "Friday After Dark" - It's what put the "skin" in skinemax. It was the sole source of Euro softcore and sex comedies like "Hardbodies" for those of us without satellite.

it was a show about single men who got laid alot and wore leisure suits... Ive looked all over imdb and wikipedia searching for the title... maybe it could have been a mini-series, but it was definitely HBO programming..

and OJ Simpson was totally a cast-member of 1st and 10

The wings chip and dale thing is ludicrious. Both the Hackett brothers wore leather jackets. Joe, would wear a nice button up shirt while Brian would wear a gaudy colored one, and they both wore ties as well.

And you got the description of Rescue Rangers all wrong, they weren't pilots, they were like detective/adventurers. Chip wore a fedora along with his jacket, like Indiana Jones.

Like you said Brian would wear gaudy colored shirts, which matches up with Dale's Hawaiian shirt. And Joe and Chip would always wear flight jackets. Brian would wear it sometimes, but more often wouldn't. And the personalities are a match. Joe and Chip were serious and would routinely get fed up with Brian and Dale's carefree attitude.

Maybe it's not perfect with one set being brothers and the other one being chipmunks, but I think some broad similarities are definitely there.
