Like the title says i got a citation for parking facing traffic in a neighborhood, but the the license number on the citation is a letter off, and there is no vin number on the citation. Everything else is correct though. Could i get this dismissed in court?
Is it a parking ticket or an actual officer stopped you for this offense? I think if its just a parking ticket, there would be no record of you in the system if the license plate is incorrectly marked.
It was on my windshield, i noticed another car on the same street got one too, so i guess the cop was bored or something. Heck right now there are multiple parked cars on my own street facing traffic.
Since that is the case, I don't even think you have anything to worry about . To be sure, just call the police department and inquire about your ticket. Give your actual license plate and see if anything shows up, but don't mention anything about your current ticket.
I've always wondered about this. If the street has no lane markings would there be a valid argument that there is no illegal way to park?
