I was getting angry about this topic until I heard my parents, who are kind of racist and voted for McCain, loved bush, express their outrage that people were keeping their kids from hearing the president speak to them about education. I mean my mother was seriously one who at first thought Obama might be the anti-Christ, and now she's talking about how she doesn't think she can support republicans anymore due to the anger and insanity conservatives have displayed recently. I honestly thought I'd never see the day. The republican party is headed for an epic collapse.
I don't know... there are probably PLENTY of conservative, Obama hating, F150-driving, Kenny Chesney loving black women who go to Baylor.
Now, to be fair, there probably are a few of them. I know at least one black woman who loves country music (and really does have a crush on Kenny Chesney). She didn't go to Baylor and she's not political though.
Can anyone explain why conservatives or Republicans or anti-Obamacans or pro-Bushicans or whatever have become such dirty liars? I swear to God it wasn't always like this.
Hahahahahahahaha For all the talking down this tool did (and still got owned because of "her" inability to make a logical argument), this is pretty friggin sad. Why claim to be a black woman? You are a sad, racist, lying sack of fecal matter who deserves some serious ridicule and PHOTOSHOP!!! (cue the photoshop gurus)
As a black woman and a Baylor graduate (class of 62), I resent that remark. BTW, my wife just……er, uh..my husband, who is also black, just emailed me and said Spring ISD is telling parents that any child who doesn’t want to watch the speech can hang out in the library while it’s being shown.
Didn't Bush Sr. do this in like 2001? What is the big deal here? Those poor kids getting held out are going to be looked at pretty strangely by their classmates. DD
parents keeping their children from hearing the POTUS is political protest using their own kids as pawns. i find it spineless and disgusting.
I guess I worded it wrong. Parents who don't want their children to see the speech are being told their children can go to the library. Not sure if there is a permission slip involved or not. I'm thinking yes, but I'm not sure. Also, not sure if it's the entire Spring ISD or not. It may just be my wife's school.
We got a permission slip, asked our son if he wanted to listen to the speech. He looked at us and said "Of course, it is the President".... We signed and he will listen. DD
