^^^ but he is the commander in chief so why is this a precedent? It’s very stupid to and he’s an idiot but he is the commander in chief. guessing the navy doesn’t take order from a tweet though
Can you imagine how much of a monster gallagher must be that the Navy will proceed despite trump (or perhaps, in spite of trump)? And imagine the effect on military morale that trump's decisions and follow up statements has had?
well, I think the military did the smart and right thing by not taking an order from a tweet. That would be a dangerous precedent. Trump needs to provide an official recognized lawful order directly to the navy commander or higher up. No ambiguity.
The dip$hit-in-chief is just warming up his pardon sharpie by pardoning war criminals even more abhorrent than Arpaio. Rudy G is happy.
Trump should let the SEALS decide if they want that guy around. If they are forced to take him and they don't want him he probably won't like his job very much.... Not surprised the guy cracked. Mosul sucks and he was on tour number 8 or something. Dude had 2 bronze stars. Humans aren't built for that many deployments.
'All major charges' Let's say he really didn't commit any of the crimes he was aquitted of... A medic just murdered a prisoner and Gallagher states ''he's mine" over the radio then stabs the guy several times with a large hunting knife mutilating the corpse. Then he poses for a picture with the mutilated corpse and texts it to his buddies. I think that would be considered by most to be a major crime.
Which version is true? The Navy secretary said Spencer had proposed a secret agreement with the WH, going around the SEC of DEF. Spencer publicly said (and in his resignation letter) that he cannot obey Trump's order. ----- (CNN)In an extraordinary move, the Pentagon chief "fired" the Navy secretary for going outside his chain of command by proposing a "secret agreement with the White House," according to a senior defense official. The agreement that led to Defense Secretary Mark Esper forcing Navy Secretary Richard Spencer's resignation involved the case of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher. The official said Spencer had proposed to the White House a review with a secret guarantee that Gallagher would be allowed to keep his status as a SEAL. That would go counter to the ongoing review underway by the Navy to take away Gallagher's status. ....
