NEW YORK (AP) -- Bill Parcells' players have tried to hit him -- and that's just fine with the two-time Super Bowl champion coach.

``We've had a few'' players take a swing at him, Parcells says in an interview with ``60 Minutes'' that will air Sunday night. ``That's OK. I think confrontation is healthy, because it clears the air very quickly.''

The Dallas Cowboys' coach is rarely pleased, even when his team is doing well.

``This game and this business is not without a myriad of incessant problems ... even when you are successful ... when you win the game,'' Parcells says.

``About an hour after the game you have a litany of things you now deal with that are problematic: 'Who's hurt? Who am I going to replace him with? How am I going to get this team ready for next week?' So the times that you are happy are minute compared to the time that you are dealing with problems,'' he adds.

Parcells, 63, coached the New York Giants to two Super Bowl titles and led the New England Patriots to the NFL championship game. He's also been the coach of the New York Jets and joined Dallas before last season.

In the interview with the CBS program, Parcells doesn't sound like someone planning to be with the Cowboys for the long haul.

``You know the end is near,'' he says. ``I really do know it, so I can enjoy it more. I am enjoying it a lot more than I did and I'm not beating myself up quite as much.''

My money would be on Knight.

Or vases. And if he's going up against elderly secretaries or scared ****less college kids.

I despise Bobby Knight. I'd pay good money to see The Tuna beat his sorry ass.

Knight and Parcells have been close personal friends since their Army days.

There's a good video game idea. Put your favorite coaches into an ultimate fighting match.

Or celebrity wrestling: Britney Spears vs. Mel Gibson.

The title of this thread does not shock me. [opinionated statement]Parcells is an arrogant ass, just like his good buddy, Bobby Knight.[/opinionated statement]

He is a good coach, no question, but it just galls me how much the media kisses his behind. He is not a nice person, definitely not a funny guy.

They made the MTV show Celebrity Death Match into a video game. I played it a little bit, but after the kitsch factor wears off, you need a fighting game to have good gameplay or it isn't any fun.

    SwoLy-D,

Are you conciously following me around or do my posts just happen to make good targets. I don't really care either way, but I'm just curious.

Is 60 minutes turning into a Sports show? Coach Bellichik on 2 weeks ago, Dale Jr on last week, now Coach Parcells?
