If we get this guy, I'm starting to feel better about our team.

I still don't understand how we'll have enough salaries to swing an in-season trade if one comes up for a star player, but it is what it is.

If Morey can add this guy, Llull or another spark/6th man type, and a little more rim protection, this team will actually be better than our squad last year. That's still asking for a lot, but hope is starting to return after the depressing weekend...

Morey probably tried. Llull isn't going to come over, in my opinion, for anything less than the full MLE, possibly more, and then probably not until next year, if then. He's a big deal on one of the best teams in Europe. My guess is that he'll be watching to see how Papa's handled by the Rockets, now that he's coming over. I've been a fan of Llull's for a long time, by the way.

Hope he scores more than 6 points a game.
Now Llull, I am more confident about.

First we signed Joey Dorsey back from FC Barcelona, now we're bringing over a forward named Kostas Papanikolaou. I knew Les liked marketing opportunities but I didn't realize he valued marketing over winning.

    We signed 2 soccer players?

I guess he's riding the World Cup wave.

So if we can get Llull to sign, is it kind of like getting Messi and Ronaldo?

Rumor has it that Messi doesn't want to play with Harden and Dwight without a player option.

Houston hasn't added much in the way of names this offseason, but I like all the 3 and D guys they're getting on the roster. San Antonio proved you can win a title with a couple of go-to offensive options and a roster of 3-point shooting defensive specialists. Hopefully Papanikolaou is built in that mold and can make an impact on the rotation.

Dorsey is American and Papanikolaou is Greek. Who the hell would you say they're marketing to? The only thing they're doing here is accepting the fact we've striked out on our main free agent targets so now we can take our cap space and use it on intriguing players that might not pan out, giving them contracts that maintain our flexibility in future free agencies.
