Yeah, and I wouldn't not take him solely because of it, but all things being equal I'd prefer Banchero. They say Chet plays way bigger than his size, but he's just so DAMN scrawny it seems like a big fart might launch him into orbit.
No clue.... I was totally wrong about Mobley's frame and lack of strength translating so quickly (although I did say he would be best as an oversized wing) and I am leaning towards Chet. But we need a full season before we can seriously compare them. Maybe some guard/wing dark horse emerges.
Imagine stroking your "expert" analysis to a performance vs Dixie State! LOL Cant wait for the Duke vs Gonzaga matchup in a couple of weeks.
I can see why Chet gets Durant comparisons but He doesn’t move like Durant imo. Just walking up the court looks like it’s a big deal for Chet. I may be wrong but it’s just the first impression i had.
Huh? Chet is extremely mobile and fairly smooth. That is one of the biggest strengths he has as a prospect.
Looks like I'll be watching more regular season college games than ever which is probably 1 game a year in the past.
The yearly debate over floor vs. ceiling. Chet, if his body fills out and he can avoid injuries that plague guys his size, could be a revolutionary player. Banchero is probably a double double guy in the NBA tomorrow. I prefer Banchero now just because I think he fits as a rich man's Carlos Boozer (with some perimeter skills to boot). I'd love to see him setting screens for Green/KPJ and could see a wicked high/low with Sengun.
I mentioned something about playing either of them (Chet or Banchero) as a 3 a couple weeks ago .... They both move well laterally on the outside & that's what matters in being able to stay in front of opposing guards. I'm really torn on these two , they are both really good ... I think you can play either one of them as your SF along with Sengun and Wood. It also opens the door to moving Wood rather than paying him $36m per year after next. (Don't take that the wrong way , I've been against trading Wood for the most part but getting either of those players changes the dynamic).
we already have jalen green why do we need another mediocre hyped player? you can always trade for andrew wiggins if you want to have both of them hell we already have draft choice no 1 john wall and we aint even playin him
Yeah. I've been down on Green lately (though I haven't given up on him yet) and I wouldn't make that comparison at all. Because as bad as Green has been, I have never once gotten the impression he doesn't care. And that's been Wiggins primary weakness for his entire career. He just doesn't care if he's good or not or if his team wins or not. He had to get on a team with alphas like Steph and Draymond to even begin to pretend to care.
Yes with the ball Ive noticed that but i remember a specific instance in the game where he was running up the court and it looked like his head was too heavy for him to even walk with a normal posture. I’m not fluent enough in english to explain exactly what i mean. It’s fine tho, i just said that was my initial Impression. i don’t have a horse in this race yet. I’ll rather wait for us to secure the pick and worry about that then
Let's draft for fit *check notes* around Sengun. Jesus. No one on this team is good enough to draft for 'fit'. Top 5 pick = always BPA at the end of the season, no exceptions. If Paolo is clear BPA by end of season, you draft him over the better fitting Chet.
