I was expecting it to be a lot better.

I had read many fantastic reviews for this movie.

I thought it was... okay. Just okay. Not great. Not fantastic.

And not "best movie of the year."

i was about to post something like this. maybe we're in the minority. i thought it was okay. i wouldn't pay to watch it again, and wouldn't watch it again if it was on tv.

I was just so shocked at how many graphics bullets to the head there was. And the farmers face getting beat in. And when Captain gets shot in his face and his left eye kinda deflates. I didn't notice the "R" rating either.

I just hate having to read when I watch a movie with such cinematic art. There is so much to look at, reaind text took something away from my experience. I guess I should just become bi-lingual.

After reading your first two sentences, I'm not surprised at all by your opinion. This is the kind of movie best watched without hype. I had no idea what to expect and got blown away. If my expectations had been high, the experience would have been different.

Then again, maybe it just wasn't your kind of movie. It was off the beaten path, that's for sure.

Really? Have you seen many Kurosawa films. Those are like my favorite movies and every one has subtitles. They have the ultimate cinematography as well...

Pan reminded me a little too much of those child molesters in "how to catch a predator."

    entertaining movie after all.
