I think Pallilo might end up in another media market once 790am goes off the air. It would be a shame.
His OPS, VORP, RISP, Equivalent Average, Runs Created Above Average, and Linear Weights all say he can.
When I drove to work this morning, 790 was nothing but silence and static. Did this happen to anyone else? WTF?
Hell, I'm Jewish, and even I think Jesus can crush a curveball. Now, the hit & run, that's another story.....
Won't happen. Charlie is entrenched here. If 790 does fold, and I seriously find that hard to believe given the amount Clear Channel has sunk into the station, I think he winds up just doing a 740 Sports Beat type show or slinks his way back over to 610.
Right. It definitely has that feel. I really started to convert to 790 for the most part when I began listening to "The Herd". IMO, it's easily the best sports program on the radio. As for Pallilo, he is just flat out better than Mark and Rich. Is it just me, or was Vandermeer better when he was solo? When I do hit 610 its usually for the comedic factor of Jim Rome or to catch the "General" talk some football.
i can't do the herd. he did a whole show the other day on his theory of why so many coaches have mustaches. wow. riveting. i certainly understand how you like charlie better than the afternoon guys on 610. rich is my least favorite of all of them. but i'm one of the freaks who really enjoys the morning show.
