Ironic, yes, but when you have a track record of success (unlike Palin), your college transcript means little.
Oh I agree (Great book, if you want the skinny on Rove's pedigree) it just highlights that college transcripts are not always worth much. Yes, Bush went to Yale, but he was a legacy student who basically did not deserve to go to San Jacinto, never-mind Ivy League. Probably preaching to the choir...
Presumably, you don't consider yourself one of those - yet I see that you made no attempt to give a reasonable answer either.
I don't think her chances are good. I'd put them at less than 5%. I know she lost any hope of my vote when she quit. My view of her has only fallen further since then. Her biggest advantage is name recognition. Her biggest disadvantage is that she is a polarizing figure in her own party. She is also disliked by independents (unless the tea party continues to claim that they are "independents").
The problem with Palin waiting is that unless she is planning on self-financing much of the infrastructure and money for running a campaign is going to those who are running. Given that this is a weak Republican field its possible that Palin could pull in some support at the last minute but as things get closer to the primaries I suspect that declared candidates will consolidate their operations. At the moment Palin though isn't helping the Republican party as she is taking away money and attention from declared candidates to enrich herself. I suspect that many Republican operatives feel that way and may be unlikely to back a last minute Palin candidacy.
Also the primary process isn't one day. She can enter just before the first primary but then will still be forced to answer tough questions like "What newspaper do you read" Or "what will you take away from your sightseeing today?" As long as reporters are allowed to ask her those very tough questions she will make a fool of herself. If only the Department of law that the white house has were able to extend their powerful protection to her. The bottom line is that she doesn't want to run. She's only acting like it's a possibility because she wants the attention. Like Donald Trump she never seriously considered running this year. They are just two attention whores trying to build up their exposure to the public.
She should wait and see how Bachman does. If she has some success, I could see Palin running in 2016.
If you truly think she is the best and right person for the job, why are you afraid of her having to answer any questions relating to why she should be given the job or what she would do once she has it?
She has no chance and she's not running. To the above reasons I'll place another: It's a huge amount of work to run for President and there is no way she is disciplined enough (much less inclined) to put in the effort.
She is making a ton of money on her speaking engagements and that stupid bus tour. No reason for her to go through the ringer only to get embarassed again on the national stage.
I feel like an ass. Was joking, which is very hard to convey on here. Never will understand how anyone could support her, a friend of mine I have known for almost 20 years, his parents love her. They are both very intelligent and one is a Dr and they love her and would vote for her. Just don't get it.
umm yes you should feel like an ass cause its not a funny joke at all. How is this even a joke? I don't think this forum needs any more Palin threads.. Thanks
well I figured it would be fairly obvious suggesting she should declare the last day before a primary thanks for being mean los rockets fan
