OBAMA will win Hell . . looking at this Palin thing it seems the Republicans are doing everythign possible to ensure that The Idea being. . let the DEMOs take the HEAT for what HAS TO HAPPEN to clean up the mess then in 2016 b*tch about the higher Taxes needed to pay for THEIR WAR then some moral stuff . .blah blah Rocket River
The lead investigator is accusing the McCain campaign of using stall tactics to try and prevent him from releasing the report on October 31st (which would mean certain death for the campaign). It's an de facto avalanche now. Apparently she recently fought the Bush administration in court over environmental legislation designed to protect polar bears, trying to prevent them from designating polar bears as a threatened species to protect oil companies in Alaska. More fodder for the democrats to attack her with. This VP selection by McCain was really a reckless one. It's too bad... this was going to be a really good campaign.
Indeed. If I'm calculating correctly, if you scale that population to the population of the US, it means that Palin would be able to bring in over 1 trillion dollars in earmarks for all US Americans combined. The GOP is free to use my logic, as they did with the "Alaska is close to Russia!!1!" line. I'm working free of charge during their convention.
To be fair, that guy from Fox and Friends (that show is so like those Morning Latte sketches with Will Ferrell and Cheri Oteri) said it before you, but you didn't know.
Oh fine! FINE! That was one of my best lines, ever, and I was scooped by FOX. But I've yet to hear another person use my earmark scaling brilliance!
When it comes to the twins, just remember what Lisa Simpson taught us in 1995... "Just don't look." "Just don't look." "Just don't look."
It's pretty obvious even to his supporters at this point that McCain's judgment was pretty flawed in his selection of Palin. I can understand the quandary his supporters must feel. IMPLOSION
I still remember friday some reporter specifically mentioning how mccain had a lawyer combing through palin's life to make sure nothing backfires. then later in the day i here some reporter mentioning the trooper investigation that has been news in alaska before the announcement friday. unbelievable
This is one of the true differences between the parties. The Republican establishment vets their candidates, even to the point of picking the winners before the primaries start (Dole, W). Dems are sloppy and unorganized and let American voters pick their candidates. TJ is trying to apply the Republican way of doing things to the Dems. You see this a lot with that crowd. They assume that everything that happens in the Dem Party is just like it would happen in the Republican Party. Thus, since a handful of non-elected apparatchiks tell McCain what to do, he assumes that a handful of non-elected apparatchiks picked Obama.
I think McCain's camp did a RUSH job at vetting. However, I also believe that the Mainstream Media being pushed by the Liberal Left is on full scale attack mode on Palin. Over a year of Obama, and the Mainstream Media has yet to talk about in detail about Obama's shady past or connections to the extent of how they are coming down on Palin now. It's only been 3 days and every Left Blog and the media is dissecting Palin, her family, her daughter, her fiancee's family. So there is a double standard here. Attack Palin because A)She's a Republican threatening the Mainstream Media's pick(Obama) and B)She's a woman with Pro-Life, Pro-Guns, Far Right principles. McCain should've known a LOT better since he went through the same attacks running against Bush. That is bad judgment on his part. Nevertheless, he had to pick a candidate to energize the Republican/Conservative base. Mission accomplished there, but good luck with McCain convincing the Independents/Moderates especially with a Liberal Biased Media that is about to go Nuclear on them.
Posts like this confuse me regarding your rationale for posting and then defending the National Enquirer story.
Hello! There are 60 days until the election. McCain should have known that if he chose a virtual unknown as his running mate and didn't do enough vetting that the media would do it for him. Shame on him for clinching early, having 6 months to ponder and vet, yet he ends up making a hasty knee-jerk decision. Very presidential.
George: We have already thrown you into the briar patch. Repeatedly. Time now to stop begging us not to and have your sweet revenge. Unless you're a fake. OOPS.
The first time I posted the story about Edwards..I prefaced with..Take it with a grain of salt. The second time I posted about the Palin Baby rumor...I prefaced with...Take it with a grain of salt It just so happened that the Edwards story turned out to be true. It remains to be seen if the Palin story has legs. How is that me defending the National Enquirer? I put it out there for discussion which is the essence of this board isn't it?
It is the essence of the right wing of the board to traffic in unsubstantiated trash rumors but not the left. You are the crown prince of unsubstantiated trash rumors here. George is the king of them. But then again, with Edwards, you actually got one right. George never has. You must be very proud.
