Look, let's stop this. Obama has been pretty clear about what he wants to do if elected. We've had lots of discussion here regarding all that. So let's stop the whole, "if you're voting for this guy you must be X" game.

Way to play the race card. I have yet to see Obama be less credible on an issue than McCain.

Obama has shown that isn't all show by several key pieces of legislation he worked on in the Senate, and in his well thought out, and clearly expressed plans for an Obama presidency.

I didn't make a shot at his credibility I made a shot at the fact that there are a lot of BO supporters that will simply vote for him because one, he has been set up as a celebrity and advertised as such by the young and hollywood alike and two he is black.

I am not calling every Obama supporter ignorant but I am calling out a lot of them. I realize that there is a large group of people in this country that believe exactly what he believes but the other get caught up in "firsts" and "history", they don't realize what a dangerous path this guy will lead us down. To that fact I applaud his credibility, that of a true socialist.

I can already see the follow-up, Bush's WAR and look at the economy, which I am not happy about but it is a far better alternative than an apologetic globalizer with socialist ideals that will destroy the morale "pull myself up by the bootstraps" Americans. Who do you think this guy is going to tax, just Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. How is he going to pay for all this stuff and run a surplus.

As an Entrepreneur I am already hedging my whole career on the tax implications of his presidency and the end result is less money for me, less for my employees, less money for the charities I support and less for the government. If you don't think a lot of other business owners are in the same boat than you are deceiving yourself.

I realize that I wrote credibility in my first post but my second point is a better explanation of why I don't want this guy as president. I was just trying to make a quick point and through in a qualifier that wasn't on point.

Its funny that you post this and then post a bunch of false statements about Obama and his policies. It seems the ignorance is not amongst the people you claim.

If only we could look back at some period in US history with similar tax policies and see if they had a catastrophic impact on the economy.

    See Clinton economy.

You mean the period of time that benefited from the largest shift of economic globalization in History and the one that was buoyed up by an industry where college grads came out making $200k in companies that never reported a profit. Also, lets not forget that his term was the beginning of "let's let everyone buy a house" policy that is ruining our economy.

It is just pent-up frustration, I should probably have 13K posts like you but I just bottle all this stuff in. Typically though, not running with the populous, which Obama clearly controls now, if you read the paper, does make you Crazy. Just think back to the 50's when being a communist wasn't cool.

I remember the 50's and the attitude towards communism. That was when we had the McCarthy witch hunts which ruined careers of talented and qualified people, and was a huge black eye on our history.

Of course Obama is neither communist nor more socialist than many of our other leaders. He isn't for socialized medicine, his tax plans aren't socialism, etc.

It is ironic that you call Obama supporters ignorant. I don't know of many who support him because hollywood figures do.

Give me a break. I am not in favor of Obama's tax policy but let's not change what Communism and Socialism mean just to label a politician a socialist or a communist.

Josh what do you think the income tax was on the top bracket during the 1950's, through Republican and Democratic administrations, when "being a communist wasn't cool"?

Clinton's economy isn't a great example because it was inflated by the internet bubble and fraudulent accounting. He was pretty lucky with timing because the bubble burst as he was leaving the office. Bush would've been just as lucky if the housing bubble lasted one more year.

I realize the taxes were almost 75%. Do we want to repeat that. The 50's were the echo of the largest period of socialization in our history.
