The Weekend Update sketch/rap was much funnier even though it was mostly Amy Poehler.

the rap was funny. Sarah Palin was a cold fish. You right wing nut balls might think she is hot, but it is apparent she would be a dead lay.

I cannot believe you guys were able to watch it. Poorly done rap is the worst torture in the world. Much worse than elevator smooth jazz.

Poehler wasn't supposed to do it. They wanted Sarah to do it. Poehler seemed annoyed she had to do it. And it wasn't funny accept for the moose. I've never seen SNL try to make someone look as bad as they did Sarah. What a joke. The way Poehler b**** was popping off guns next to Sarah. I was waiting for the secret service to charge in and lay her out. That would have been the funny but nothing else was. I love comedy and I think everyone is fair game. I thought the first Tina fey's impersonation was funny and tastefully done. But accept for one cable news station the rest of the world is in the tank for Obama.

Except. The word you're looking for is "except" not "accept". /end grammar nazi

Anyway, I don't know if they ever actually intended for Palin to do the rap or if that was just part of the gag. Either way, it would have been much harder to watch if Sarah had attempted it.

Palin: I don't wanna do it.

Poehler: I guess I can do it...

    [Backstage - After the sketch]

Walburg: [to Palin] I can't believe you didn't want to do that rap. That was awesome... by the way how's your mother?

    Palin: I was merely acting!

Poehler: So was I! I've fooled you Mark!

Palin: No! It is I who fooled you! For my campaign is already dead.. and merely acting alive!

    Poehler: Genius!

    Palin: Thank you!

Walburg: I'm still actually pissed about Sandberg's sketch...

No one forced her to be on the show. Her choice. They make fun of everybody, please. Gerald Ford, Reagan, Clinton, Bush (especially senior- Dana Carvey was brilliant), W, they rag on everybody- so please, don't come across like they secretly had it in for her, unless you feel that Chevy Chase was really trying not to make Ford look like a clumsy fool. If she were smart, she either wouldn't have done the show at all or poked fun at herself the way McCain and Bush did at the Catholic dinner 2 nights ago.

The world is not in the tank for Obama. People have ears, people have eyes, and people (well, most) have brains. My wife is starting up a business, literally working 13 hours a day, and she hasn't followed any of this. She did have time to watch the debate, though, and just on first impression, it was like, "Why does McCain keep repeating this Joe guy? Isn't he overdoing it?" "Obama seems like a well-spoken, intelligent individual." And she's always been Republican. Not the basis for voting him President, but I'm just saying that McCain doesn't inspire confidence in people the way Obama does. And he also admittedly does suffer from a link with Bush.

Maybe the rest of the world just thinks Obama is a better choice than McCain.

Thats fine, I do also but why do I have to have other people opinions slammed in my face when I am just trying to laugh?

The 2 girls were going for HillDog but then when she lost they got upset about Palin being picked and wanted to make clear they were still liberals. It is pretty obvious.

Yeah, you're probably right. You know, Springsteen's my favorite artist, but I really had a problem with him endorsing Kerry as he said he would never use his celebrity for political means. Doesn't matter whether I supported Kerry or not- what business is it of him to try to influence me as to who I should vote for? Or for the writers of The X Files to push their obviously left-leaning philosophies on me?

(Born to Run is still my favorite album and the X Files is a top 10 all-time show).

Actually that's what I think is wrong with America, everybody wants to be "well-spoken, intelligent individual", and often many people equals well-spoken to intelligent (not saying Obama isn't intelligent, he is.) Just ask a college student what he wants to study and to be.

You can't be serious, you really think that Palin was supposed to do the rap? God, if that flew over your head I'm not surprised you fall for every bit of looney toons anti-Obama trash you find online.

They mock all political figures. Palin is fair game and easy to mock like Bush and Clinton before her.

Palin was good at the beginning, the rap was hilarious, watching Palin dance was kind of cringe enducing. It's like when a Tone-Loc song comes on at a wedding and you see all the 50 year olds trying to get down.

Well, that's what we seek in others- in our religious leaders, our bosses, our spouses- well-spoken, intelligent individuals. But for the presidency, Sarah Palin is better. Sure.

right, so if you had a choice between a guy who got a harvard education and is well spoken, and a 73 year old guy who can't finish a sentence without a "my friendzzz", you would definitely pick the guy who can't finish the sentence, since, obviously, what's wrong with America is that we want an intelligent, well spoken individual for president..

intelligence is overrated afterall, just look at how successful our current not-so-intelligent president is.. oh wait!

After seeing Palin nod her head and raise the roof to a hip hop beat, I'm pretty sure she is a closet Democrat.

    Palin for Obama?
