It actually wasn't as horrible as I expected it to be. Rick Perry's CPAC speech was much harder to watch IMO.
You value the executive experience of somebody who couldn't finish one elected term as governor as the 47th most populated state?
She's a useful idiot, but media bashing only increases her popularity. The real idiots are those who think articles like that bother her. On the contrary, they fuel her career. She needs them, and she knows it. Either the writer doesn't realize this (would would make him, ironically, an idiot) or he doesn't care. He'll happily help her career, by attacking her, if it helps his career as well. If we all agree that ignoring her is the sensible thing to do, we also must agree that articles like this are counter productive. In other words, if he truly believes Palin has a toxic effect on political discourse, yet he still writes about her because it gets page hits, what exactly makes him better than her?
It's like that saying, "even a lazy, dumb w**** is right twice a day when smart people are feeding her lines."
Considering journalism functions to report and analyze information, the subject's relational gain or loss is irrelevant.
Should it be pointed out that the ending of Green Eggs and Ham goes back to affirm all of the original negatives and in fact is a statement against closed minded ness and fear of different? So does that mean she will end up liking all the things she claimed not to like? Politics is so confusing!
These Sarah Palin threads are so uninteresting. Just people screaming 'dumb w****'. Nobody discussing what they find dumb about her. Nobody discussing any of her positions.
That'd be a lot easier if she hadn't quit a governorship with the second smallest electorate to make Facebook posts between reality show gigs.
Are you joking? She is poking fun at all things wrong with Obamacare & Obama's administration simply because she doesn't understand it by using a progressive children's book who's moral at the end of the story is that one should open their mind and not judge things they don't understand. And she said "Who'da Thunk it" (I feel dumb just typing that). She couldn't possibly be any dumber and I think even you know that.
At some point you have to admit that you are defending someone just on the notion that they represent the same political party as you. Tallanvor, there are plenty more Republicans who are much more educated and intellectual than her that you can defend.
Her positions can be summed up this way, she supports whatever will infuriate liberals the most because her career is largely fueled by their contempt for her. She needs their hatred and attention. Without it, she goes back to Alaska and has to get a real job. Same with most right wing talking heads. And quite a few liberal talking heads, as well.
again you make no arguments of why her views are wrong. You think because she resigned as governor that she is dumb? that makes no sense. She had more experience than you mention Same as above. you make no arguments about any position she has ever held. You don't like her because she uses the expression 'Who'd of thunk it' ? and you call her close minded? Nothing to defend as nobody here has contradicted any of her positions.
tallanvor, Here is one of her "positions:" "The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil." Are you really defending this woman? There is no excuse for defending this nitwit. None.
