wow how can you compare one of the greatest presidents we have had in recent memory with Obama? Regan was a man of integrity and stood for what he believe in. He garnered respect for America unlike Obama who apologizes everywhere he goes. You may not agree with his politics but at least he had a set of values that he stood behind. With Obama he just goes with whichever way the wind blows. Also I don't have a issue with Obama using a teleprompter. A lot of public speakers/presidents use it. A great speaker does not translate to a good leader who makes sound decisions. I just thought it was still funny how Obama had that whole crazy setup in a elementary school setting. But I will agree that the whole critistim of him relying on a teleprompter isnt a big deal. Just like how Sarah Palin writing down a few things on her hand isnt a big deal.
Making a formal speech dealing with international relations in front of the British Parliament is one thing. Addressing a class of elementry school students is another. Well, at least it used to be another, until Barack Obama came into office. Now the teleprompter is used for almost every occasion. Of course, as you guys have noted, his Q&A with Republicans was a rare exception. And I sincerely commend him for stepping out and doing that. For conducting his Q&A with Republicans without a teleprompter, I say: Well done, President Obama!
Except you know that's not what was happening here. Why must you always distort the truth to make your point?
It's funny. I have no idea what the speech was about and am having extreme difficulty finding an answer. Check out the Google results: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=obama+elementary+school+speech+2010&aq=f&aqi=&oq= 9 out of 10 of the results is about the teleprompter, not the speech.
You're right this is really embarassing.....for the palindrones. are you saying only a handful the 6th graders present in that classroom were the audience of the speech?
Ah, okay. So he sat down with his advisor and some kids to discuss things, then came in front of the media all official-like and delivered a speech about his NCLB policy. When he was talking with kids, did he have scribbles on his hand like "kids need education"?
http://www.balloon-juice.com/?p=34263 This is what cracks me up. She seriously needed a reminder to mention <s>budget </s>tax cuts?
What's with all the Obama posts in a thread about Palin basso? Someone remove your thread starting privileges?
And yet he would still pile drive Sarah Palin or any other candidate the Republicans can come up with into the ground.
