I just stumbled across this opinion piece on Palin: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/editorial/outlook/6868577.html It's not really much about her, and a lot about Americans being anti-intellectual. I really enjoyed reading it. Some choice quotes:

Oh and btw this graph represents new jobs lost, so basically Obama has just slowed the bleeding down... they both suck economically... I hate to say it but I wish Bill Clinton was in office again.

People tend to be a lot more forgiving of the dumb crap someone says if it is dressed up in their specific religious context.

The post you're responding to is over 2 years old basso, and the last post in this thread before you posted that irrelevant riposte was also over 2 years old. Are you on some sort of anti-dementia drug or are you self medicating?
Aren't right wingers the ones complete against 'political correctness'? r****d means IQ < 70, which basso may or may not fall under. (note I believe basso is above average intelligence)
