I think the photos do a lot to communicate that she is a woman in a position of power. It highlights the unusualness of the fact that she is a female candidate for the vice-presidency. So, yeah I think the photo depends on her gender, singles out and calls attention to her gender. But, I don't think that makes it sexist. It doesn't demean her or objectify her. It is not sexual nor disrespectful.
