Hilary's camp is already attacking Obama's camp for the "sexist" assault on Sarah Palin. Deep down she hates Obama and has to have a sort of sisterhood with Palin as both being self made women.

After her announcement, Obama went after McCain, saying the vp doesn't change the fact that he's still the same as Bush.

I'm in agreement with you on that regard, obama should ignore her and go after mccain, and allow hillary to hamstring palin. I don't think it'll create doubts if she doesn't say anythingg, but I think* it doesn't let the mccain camp call 'sexism', when hillary guts her.

    *They still will.

I am willing to vote for a moderate Republican. Like most people in this country, I want troops pulled back from Iraq. I want a nationalized health care system like vast majority of the western nations. I want a smaller government and smaller tax, but I think the rich should pay more as they are amassing riches much faster than the rest of the people in this country. I do not want someone else to force me to align with their religion. Obama is closer to my view than Mccain, that doesn't mean I am a Democrat, if say Bloomberg or some other moderate Republicans run next time on a centralist platform instead of appealing to the right wing base of the Republican party, I can definately see myself voting for them.

I agree with OddsOn. It was the first time I heard her speak and I thought she did an excellent job of presenting herself as a great running mate to McCain. My opinion of her has definitely gotten better. I especially like her line about stopping spending on a "bridge to nowhere", and if they were going to pay for it, it would have to be with their own money.

Great line. Too bad (seriously, because I want a conservative reformist) it wasn't truthful.

You do know she supported this bridge, right? I mean, it's been all over the news.

    Independents and agnostics

    no convictions and no balls

    ;)

I don't really mean it, it's the extreme shortcoming of having a two party system that people are forced to choose between two party platforms when there are a hundred issues each with multiple valid stances. The only way to have any influence is to join the stupid party and try to change the platform.

I think it's a definite that Obama will go after McCain and somewhat ignore Palin. That is their best strategy. How much Hillary chips in and goes after Palin remains anyone's wild guess.

And his vp (Biden) doesn't change the fact that the president's office is not the place for "on the job training". At least that's what his own vp choice said.

we can play the game he say-she say in the heat of the primaries dude. it's politics.

but the fact of the matter is mccain's policies align with george bush's. that's not a thing people say in the heat of the things, it's THE TRUTH.
