Obama has been in many debates ( many that were not run by cnn ), and lets not forget that he was grilled in public debates about flag pins, rezko, and Ayers ( definitly not softball questions ), and has held countless press conferences and interviews.

We aren't even asking her to take questions from freakin keith olberman or anything.

She hasn't been allowed to be asked questions by ANYBODY in the media yet. None of the networks, newspapers, or o'reilly types have been able to interview her.

I already did and he totally ignored it because he can't just admit it's a hypocritical "talking point" and move on to actually talking about issues. Issues, you know, the things that WEREN'T in Sarah Palin's pep rally er speech.

Is OddsOn going to address the actual issues relating to her speech, or just post photos of convention stages?

No, it isn't. They brought up Obama's community work not to knock it per se, but to illustrate that it isn't what you build an experienced candidate for President on.

Oh, of course. Because anybody who disagrees with you and votes for the other candidate is stupid, right?

    What a clown you are.

fact is mccain is not better for the country on a whole but rather for the top 20-25 % speaking in economic terms...So if mccain does when than yes the country has been fooled once again...

Why not? I'd say that a president who has actually spent extended amounts of time with the poor and has worked on programs to help them is well qualified to deal with poverty and other social ills, which are still major issues in this country.

However, the condescension in Palin and Giuliani's tone was directly mocking community organizers themselves, so it's going to be interpreted as an attack on their work.

no, 80-85% agree with me that the country is worse off and is going in the wrong direction.

and now this ticket has not mentioned ONE THING about the #1 concern in america--the economy. so if this ticket gets elected, is that not contradictory?

"stupid" probably was too harsh on my part, but *******, i'm sure voters WANT SOME TALK ABOUT THE ISSUES. yes the convention loves the "red meat" and attacks. but please, talk about how you are going to change a country, not attacking the other party the whole time.

what about law school, state senate, and US senate?

harping on community organizers - regardless of their intentions - was absolutely disingenuous to practically everything the republicans supposedly stood for.

why would they even include vocabulary like that in speeches that they spent patting themselves on the back for being the party for the common person?

    Issues?

Like gun ownership and protecting the 2nd amendment rights granted to every US citizen under the constitution?

Like protecting America's sovereignty and interests with might when words fall on deaf ears?

Like being pro life and not killing babies?

Like religion and being a God fearing person with moral terpitude?

Like being a self made person and not relying on the government to provide for you?

    these issues?

Nice dodge, broseph! Instead of talking about the blatant lies we've cited from Palin's speech, you decide to go off on some wild tangent!

last time i check market adjustments were good for the economy. unemployment is still at record low levels and we still haven't experienced a negative month of growth.

don't carry debt, save an emergency fund for rainy days and live on less then you make. simple rules to live by guaranteed to turn any crisis into an inconvenience.

um, obama does allow for gun ownership. he just believes it should be regulated at the local level, where local authorities have better "feel" for their communities and would be able to accurately measure police efforts against potential crime or, let's say, school shootings.

i'd rather take a president who opens other countries' ears with diplomacy... one who is intelligent enough to keep all guns at bay, and who will work out a solution before turning to caveman-clubbin'. fdr was a great president by most historical accounts.

there's a difference between pro-life and pro-choice. they're not complete opposites. pro-choice is a statement that says that the government does not have a right to dictate your decisions. pray tell, what is mccain's stance on partial birth abortion, and abortions in cases of sexual assault. i think if you got down off your high horse and did some reading, you'd be surprised.

(note, i wrote without any notice of palin's interesting position.)

last i heard, Baptist/Christian was indeed a religion that obama has followed for 20+ years. depending on the month/season, mccain's been lutheran, episcopal, baptist...

even if obama was muslim, i believe that islam still recognizes a god. just because that god is not Your God(tm), doesn't mean you are better than him. study your own religion a little more and realize you aren't one to judge.

it's tough to struggle through low income jobs, and also being discriminated against in the workplace. as a child of legal immigrant parents (a nurse, who cleans up you/your family's bowels, guts, and aides you back to health while not being compensated fairly because of a "furreign" degree... and an engineer who's been passed over for promotions by a decidedly nepotistic work environment full of lesser-qualified white people), i know what it's like to see the effects of being labeled as a "second-tier" citizen. it hurts the pocketbook.

once you grow up a little, you'll see that the government is providing for EVERYONE - but individuals who are in power are using unfair tactics to keep others down... thus the civil rights movement, and other similar social justice acts in the past.

it's easy when you're on the beneficiary's side. of course you'd be "conserving" the status quo, because you've got it pretty damn good. but it's quite ignorant and insulting to make the narrow-minded statements you just made, seeing as you obviously do not recognize that there are millions who are just as smart as you, yet haven't been given an opportunity to shine.

that's probably because you refuse to get to know anyone that isn't just like you.

congratulations, you're the poster child for the GOP. please just read something once in a while, and exercise your own judgment without parroting fox news or dear old mum and dad.
