Just my opinion.....and to me thats really all that matters :D

She gave a great speech...confident, sassy, strong and witty.

You know how I know she was a great choice for the VP nod?

Because the bias liberal press is so pissed that they were not "informed" about this ahead of time and they are freaking out as a result. Viscous attacks, bitter resentment toward the pick because they didn't give their blessing first. I heard one source clammer about how can he do this, why didn't he pick Lieberman? What a bunch of typical liberal malcontents...

I can't wait until tomorrow and hear all the women call in to the conservative talk radio programs...

The line about the difference between a hockey mom and pitbull......lipstick! Classic!

    McCain / Palin in 2008

    God bless America!

I'm pretty sure none of the press were informed. I think it just about blindsighted everyone.

yeah. i loved the cheap shots. that was my fav. part of the speech. otherwise not much substance. she was very unprepared. i think with that speech, it's pretty obvious the repubs have nothing to talk about. just bashing and guaranteeing more of the same.

the same ideas the repubs were bashing of obama, palin was using those same exact ideas (energy esp.) and they were all for it! I would vote for her before mcain thats for damn sure.

Way to foster intelligent dialog and back up your opinion with facts

As opposed to the retread "hope" speech that Bill Clinton gave at the DNC?

I thought I time warped to the republican convention of 2000 tonight. I was not impressed. I was expecting more substance instead of the same old Republican rhetoric of the last eight years.

Can't wait for them to allow Palin to actually be interviewd on her own and face some real questions.

maybe it was a good speech. not everyone can give a speech like the clintons and obama. even kerry was awesome. ive yet to see anything on that level at the RNC.

I'd say her speech was a double or a triple, but not a home run.

There was not much substance to her speech. She gave people like yourself what they needed to hear. Those that were waiting to cheer a chance to do it.

However, you are quite right in her confidence and poise. That was important, because that's also what her audience needed to see after this week.

She at least looked professional and in control, and that at least was important and can't be downplayed.

But I wasn't sure I was going to get any real substance out of this speech, and I did not. That's what I am, however, expecting from McCain's.

meh, i don't think obama is much better. he does have better oral skills though. in terms of substance, neither really knows what to do.

Yeah I know what you mean, we have been waiting for this same thing to happen with Obama. I find it interesting that the dems are so confident in their candidate that they won't let him go on any debate unless its run by CNN. Yes he is going on O'Reilly in a classic politics move to quench the bounce for McCain tomorrow but I would be happily surprised if O'Reilly threw him anything but softballs. Let Dennis Miller or Michael Medved interview him and now you have something.

Yeah and the dribble coming out of the DNC was so great that they needed a Hollywood set to pump up Obama's speech...

Two major outright lies: she said she was against the bridge to nowhere (she wasn't), and she said she shunned lobbyists (when she used lobbyists to bring more pork spending to Alaska)

And of course, mocking Obama's community work. It's essentially a big "**** YOU" to every poor person in the country.

    Just... *sigh*

If a freakin' stage is an issue to you man, hey whatever that's your right I suppose. Guess that's what you meant by 'intelligent dialogue'.

I'm still waiting for Oddson to explain how the "columns" stuff isn't straight up hypocrisy.

Can you enumerate and list the facts that Palin gave in her speech to back up her opinions? Thanks.
