Why do you dance around it? You defend sanctions for blasphemy, even compare it to Hitler and Saddam (facepalm  ), but you are not man enough to tell us what you would regard as an appropriate punishment for this "criminal"?

I never compared it to Hitler or Saddam, Again you repeatedly show signs of a lower intelligence. Obviously reading comprehension has failed you throughout life.

How do you feel that Germany is against just "saying words". Article 166 of German Criminal Law

    Hypocrite.

I see nothing good in this. A cleric making out like her death sentence is the happiest day of his life? Umm...you call yourself religious? You should be ashamed. Same with these villlage people. We are religious but we rejoice over a death sentence for a few misdirected words of a non-believer at that.

It's a joke and does nothing to help the image of Islam.

I never said it was. We are having a discussion about Blasphemy being more than "just words". Clearly many nations in this day and age disagree with the premise that Blasphemy is simply just words.

Can you post a link to Article 166.

The German Constitution only has 146 Articles.

They might be words that you do not agree with and find incredibly insulting, but they are still words.

    bingo

one of the huge problems with Islam today is the fact that their "moderate members" aren't standing up in a broad-based, concerted effort against injustices such as this one. Just look at Pakistan's government -- they just look the other way. Islam's name will continue to get drug through the mud and their followers will have to bear this burden that they're considered backwards until there is mass, widespread condemnation of this type of stuff.

I am curious adeelsiddiqui... if you were the judge or based off your knowledge of Islam what would you deem a appropriate punishment for this women who in my view committed no crime. It was just an argument between two people and words were said.

    Who said that?

I said execution is justified in regards to someone saying "just words". In some cases, words can and do justify execution.

Obviously we all agree with Obama's execution orders against American Cleric Anwar Awlaki. All he did was just "say words"...

There is no crime here. She said stuff against what was basically a village mob. Her fight/flight situation kicked in and she said stuff that she obviously never meant or even understood. Even if she said committed treason in that state of fear, I dont think she really did any crime.
