Did we not shoot people up into space and have machines up there that helps us with day to day things? We even split the atom, which this country can do pretty nicely.

    wtf

Religions, the greatest man made fantasies of all time, are the **** stain of human civilization on our beautiful Earth.

What a load of crap. If it wasn't religion for these people then it would be something else that they'd use. A lot of people are just inherently greedy and power-hungry. And some people are just crazy. Some people are all of these things. Religion also does a lot of good and helps many people whether you choose to believe it or not.

No I was very clear, religions are the load of crap. Crapped out by humanity who are capable of some wonderful things but who throughout history have occasionally gotten diarrhea.

van Oudenhoven, J., de Raad, B., Carmona, C., Helbig, A., & van der Linden, M. (2012). Are virtues shaped by national cultures or religions?. Swiss Journal Of Psychology/Schweizerische Zeitschrift Für Psychologie/Revue Suisse De Psychologie, 71(1), 29-34.

According to the data, the correct answer would be that national cultures shape moral ideas. To sum it up, national traditions, reinforced by national institutions, shape the values of a nation’s members, regardless of diverging religious heritages and practices (van Oudenhoven 34). Immigrants come to a country and are immediately inundated by that country’s culture and values at school, work, social events, and even at home through the television. The country shapes that person no matter the religion or ethnicity. A good example of all of this is that the Dutch are very high on the virtues of openness and reliability and Dutch Muslims attach roughly the same importance to reliability and openness as non-Muslim Dutch (van Oudenhoven 33).

So if you take away religion we would be peaceful? You are delusional if you believe this to be true. Its a lack of knowledge that is causing this "**** stain on our beautiful Earth". People are easy to manipulate to believe simplistic conclusions as they can't really grasp the complicated dynamics of the issue. It's easier to say religion and think you've solved the problem.

If you want to know the real problem of this world, it is that people are idiots and they fail to think for themselves and are willing to let others do the thinking for them. Another problem is that information is so vast you can make numerous opposite conclusions about the same topic and support it with "evidence". It's difficult to try to examine the truth from this fog. To conclude my rant, the world is difficult to examine, stop making simple conclusions like religion is the problem of this planet, its idiotic.

It's not always religion that is the root of war, but it has often been the case.

War usually comes down to some sort of belief in something that is worth dying for apparently, whether it be religion, political ideology, or whatever.

I guess my metaphors are too confusing for most of you. I thought is was pretty clear, religion is crap that is crapped out by humanity thus making humanity responsible. And although humanity is capable of good things, it seems our legacy will be that the net will be negative.

That said, stories like this will continue to happen. There will always be good and evil, injustice and justice, shortages and excess, etc... all mixed up and around each other.

In cases like these, the best hope is the right people try and help this mother and they find success. But just remember it solves nothing, fix one and several more arise facing their own injustice. It's never ending, always has been and always will be. This is each generations burden and some generations are more responsible than others.

A broken clock is correct twice a day...

I am not saying that I don't want religious people working in the system, I am saying that I do not want religion ingrained in the system. There is a major distinction there.
