No one's going to take you seriously if you cannot substantiate claims you make. But, I already knew the task of providing evidence was too difficult for a failed game programmer to complete.

 

Your first statement is entirely fallacious. Smart, intelligent, and mature people are not part of some monolithic entity where you can make claims on their behalf. It would be no more true than the statement that all game programmers are virgins.

No one has questioned by beliefs in this thread. Not even you. You did make a bold claim about something related to my religion, but that in no way affects my personal beliefs. I responded to your bold claim asking you to substantiate it. You were unable to substantiate it and instead went on a tangent on why I shouldn't be responding to people who give offense to me.

He is just angry that folks are questioning his core beliefs. I am down with whatever he wants to believe as long as it doesn't involve terrorizing other people.

All religion is capable of being manipulated, especially when the text or lessons are rambling and inconsistent....and that includes the Bible and the Torah, and obviously the Koran.

It is just strange that most people that follow the others though don't seem bothered by cartoons, or people poking at their books etc, they just seem to be fine with others not believing.

Maybe it is because Islam is so young, and only like 1300 years old, it is in it's teenage stage like Christianity was in the Spanish Inquisition times.

Either way, I personally do not believe any of it, to me, it is all mythology made up by man to explain the unexplained.

If you want to believe, go ahead, just do it peacefully, no one really cares.

You have never once provided evidence for the claim that the Quran's message has changed in correlation with Muhammad's age.

I asked for verifiable evidence that the Quran's message changed with Muhammad's age. You responded by asking me to prove that Muhammad was speaking with God. Do you naturally enjoy engaging in fallacious arguments?

I won't do it because not once in this thread did I make the claim that Muhammad (pbuh) was talking to God. You, however, DID make the claim that the Quran's message changed with Muhammad's age. You did not substantiate your assertion. Therefore, you fail as much at debating as you do at programming.

Where has anyone questioned my core beliefs in this thread? My core belief is that God is One and Muhammad (pbuh) is His Messenger. No one has questioned that in this thread. I have questioned a false statement you made, but you try to spin it as if I am defending my beliefs. The reality is I am waiting for you to substantiate something you claimed. Instead of doing that, you have responded numerous times giving excuses as to why are you intellectually incapable of doing so.

 

I am not as successful as Carmack for sure, but I am hardly a failed one either, as I retired at 41 years old.

But hey, it's cool.

I believe in God and that he created man and at our core we are all good, however I also believe we are corruptable.

And that, is where religion comes in.....all of it was invented by corruptable man to explain the unexplainable....

There are only a few programmers who are about as successful as Carmack. What games have you worked on? Were they just PC games or for different platforms?

When you're saying 'corruptable', I'm assuming you mean the potential to become corrupted?
